Saturday Greyhound Tips: A trio to track in Doncaster

Today's Greyhound Odds

1 pt 19:04 Doncaster – Daleroad Dasher (T4) @ SP

Two from three yesterday with Savana Red Bull and Skidrow Jake both bolting up. Today we head to Doncaster with three selections on a competitive card at the Yorkshire venue. At 19:04 in the B2 graded race over the four-bend 450 metre trip lightly raced DALEROAD DASHER appeals from T4. The James Gaskin-trained October 2023 son of Malachi returns to four-bend action this evening following two runs in sprint races.

Prior to those outings Daleroad Dasher was running well in top grade B1 company throughout October and November but was then off the track for around seven weeks during December and early January. The recent sprint runs would have blown away the cobwebs and Daleroad Dasher should be approaching peak fitness now and ready to win. The key to the race is the break, trap well and its race on. Trewmount Lady (T1) is a consistent B2 performer and rates as the danger. She could be the one to chase home the selection and fill the forecast spot.

1 pt 19:24 Doncaster – Ballymac Mel (T5) @ SP

The B3 graded race at 19:24 will see plenty line up with chances of leading round and this could be set up for a deep closer toc laim the race late on. The eyes are drawn to BALLYMAC MEL who runs from T5 for trainer Shaun Birks. The October 2022 daughter of Ballymac Best will turn nearer last than first but she will be flying down the back straight looking to hit the front off the final bend.

Granted a clear run Ballymac Mel can claim the victory late on and win for the first time in this grade on her fourth attempt. The pace duel up front could be between Keefill Storm (T1) and Ballinabola Moly (T3) if they bump it could set the race up nicely for Ballymac Mel late on. Burnpark Margo (T4) has form over the six-bend 661 metre trip at Doncaster. She’s another that will be staying on well and has a chance with a clear run.

1 pt 19:42 Doncaster – Redbrick Asp (T1) @ SP

The third and final selection from Doncaster this evening is improving youngster REDBRICK ASP who lines up from T1 in the B2 graded race at 19:42. The lightly raced June 2024 son of Coolavanny Shado caught the eye in defeat on Saturday, January 17, when narrowly beaten over course and distance in a photo finish following an early bump.

Tonight, if Redbrick Asp gets it right at the boxes, he could lead round and once on the bunny he can kick for home and bolt up. The James Gaskin-trained railer has previously dripped below 28 seconds when making all back on January 4, clocking 27.97, a repeat of that would see him take this race. Millhouse Len (T4) will be staying on well and rates as the danger. Redbrick Daisy (T6) is blessed with blistering early pace and has a chance with a ping break.
