Wednesday Greyhound Tips: A triple threat of Donny dog delights

1 pt 15:11 Doncaster – Redbrick Iceman (T1) @ SP

All eyes on Doncaster this afternoon for an ultra-competitive all-graded card featuring ten races in total over the two and four-bend distances at the Yorkshire venue. At 15:11 in the B3 graded race over the standard four-bend 450 metre trip, look out for well-drawn railer REDBRICK ICEMAN in T1. The James Gaskin-trained youngster has only run seven times to date, winning two of his last three.

The June 2024 son of Coolavanny Shado is open to improvement and is learning on the job. Today, with a plot draw to work from, Iceman can lead round and make all. As ever, the break and run into the first bend will prove vital. Iceman needs to hold the rails and kick for home down the back straight. Ballymac Ivanna (T2) has been lightly raced in recent months. A recent course and distance run would have blown away the cobwebs and should be approaching peak fitness and would be a danger to all with a level break.

1 pt 16:07 Doncaster – Droopys Glam (T4) @ SP

The B1 graded race at 16:07 looks ultra-competitive with all in with live chances. Looking at the stats for the race, the eyes are drawn to DROOPYS GLAM from T4. The October 2022 daughter of Droopys Sydney is 10 from 30 in the grade and often runs in open races at Doncaster. The wide seed is capable of winning this from the front or if turning on the tail of the leader, the key to the race is avoiding a bump at the first bend.

Tomahurra Rio (T3) is a little inconsistent at the boxes but would be a danger to all if he brings his trapping boots. Swift Kev (T5) is another with a solid record in this grade (8 from 16). He bolted up last week, clocking 27.85 following a smart 2.12. A similar effort would put him bang there at the finish this afternoon. Keefill Dares (T6) returns to action today following a layoff and is worth noting in the market.

1 pt 17:03 Doncaster – Bodell Boon (T2) @ SP

A little later on, look out for BODELL BOON who runs from T2 in the D2 graded sprint over the two-bend 275-metre trip at Doncaster. Well-drawn to lead on the rails, the January 2022 son of Hiya Butt looks a solid play this afternoon.

The former Suffolk Downs, Towcester and Oxford-based Greyhound has only run five times at Doncaster since his move and is improving nicely with each run and will prove hard to beat granted a clear run. Skirk Mia is a consistent performer in this grade and rates as the danger from T6. Salems Thor (T1) will be staying on well and could be worth including in forecast bets.
