Mohammed Kudus (thigh), James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski (both knee), Dominic Solanke (ankle) and Destiny Udogie (hamstring) are all ruled out through injury for Tottenham.

Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr remain away on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Richarlison could be tasked with leading the line here in place of Randal Kolo Muani.

Tyrone Mings (hamstring) and Pau Torres (calf) are closing in on a return to action for Villa, but it remains to be seen if this game will come too soon for the defensive duo.

Amadou Onana (hamstring) and Ross Barkley (knee) remain sidelined for Unai Emery's side. Harvey Elliott remains a Villa player for now, but he is unlikely to feature on Saturday.

Evann Guessand is currently representing the Ivory Coast at Afcon.

Today's Football Fixtures

Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa Odds

Spurs have won just one of their last six matches in all competitions, but they are 6/4 to prevail in regulation time.

Two of their latest three fixtures have ended in a stalemate, which was the outcome in Villa's recent outing at Crystal Palace. The draw is marketed at 9/4.

Villa are 13/8 to come away with the victory inside 90 minutes, having beaten Tottenham in the previous three competitive meetings.

Five of the past seven head-to-head contests have seen both teams score, with BTTS - Yes valued at 4/6.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa Stats

  • AVL have won 12 of their last 14 games (L2)
  • Van de Ven (TOT) has received eight yellow cards this season

Match Result - Aston Villa @ 13/8

With 12 wins from their last 14 matches, Villa should fancy their chances of victory in north London as Spurs have not been comfortable when playing at home this season.

In the Premier League, Tottenham rank 17th for home form, with just nine points collected from a possible 30. They have won just twice in 10 attempts, and this game feels huge for boss Thomas Frank, who is under growing pressure.

It feels similar to how it did for Spurs last season under Ange Postecoglou; the league campaign was unravelling, so it left cup competitions as the only saving grace. They won the Uefa Europa League last term, and they may look at winning the FA Cup this time around.

Unfortunately, I think this dream will fade quickly as Villa are well-disciplined and have a lot of momentum and structure behind them. They have beaten their opponents on the past three occasions, and I think they will make it four on Saturday.

Player To Receive A Card - Micky van de Ven @ 10/3

Villa were 2-1 winners here in the league back in October, and Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven went into the book on that day. He now has eight bookings across all competitions, with his latest coming last time out at Bournemouth.

He is a centre-back noted for his speed, but it can sometimes lead to him flying in through momentum rather than calculation. Some of his challenges, while deemed clean, can also be a bit reckless - such as his tackle on Liverpool's Alexander Isak last month.

Villa have attacking quality who can pose the Dutchman problems, and with Spurs under a lot of pressure right now, he could let the occasion get to him and make a rash decision and see him booked for the ninth time this season.
