Friday Greyhound Tips: We’re Playing Nice in Harlow to end the week

Today's Greyhound Odds

1 pt 14:26 Suffolk Downs – Voluntary (T1) @ SP

Eight races take place at Suffolk Downs this afternoon with the two, four and six-bend distances in action. One that jumped off the card as a betting proposition was the Jason Ray-trained railer VOLUNTARY, who lines up from T1 in the S4 graded race at 14:26 over the six-bend 548-metre trip at the Mildenhall venue. In recent weeks, Voluntary has run open race action plus S2 and S3 grade and has run well in defeat.

Today, on his first ever run in S4, the April 2023 son of Signet Ace looks well-drawn to hold the rails and if that happens, he can hit the back straight on the bunny and prove hard to beat. Flyhigh Cerberus is a consistent course and distance performer and rates as the danger from T3.

2 pt 18:46 Harlow – Charls Boy (T6) @ SP

This evening we head to Harlow for an ultra-competitive all-graded card. At 18:46 keep an eye on well-drawn wide seed CHARLS BOY. The Paul Crowson-trained performer drops into A7 company following defeat in his last nine races when running in A5 and A6 grade. The ease in class will be appreciated, and the racing manager has given Charls Boy an extra leg up with a vacant box in his immediate inside in T5.

This strengthens the claims for supporters of the solo wide seed in the race and, with a smart exit from the boxes he can lead round, kick for home and make all. Lightly raced duo Hidden Babs (T1) and Front Shani (T2) are worth keeping an eye on in the market. The money is shrewd at Harlow and major support should be noted.

1 pt 19:58 Harlow – Playing Nice (T2) @ SP

The third and final selection today is lightly raced potential improver PLAYING NICE, who runs from T2 in the D5 graded sprint race at 19:58. The Colin Dibb-trained August 2024 youngster is open to plenty of improvement with just the seven runs on his racecard to date. He often misses the break then shows nice pace into the corner. Once the penny drops, he will fly through the grade and rack up plenty of wins at Harlow.

The key to this race is the break and run into the corner. It's imperative that Playing Nice clears Britbull Poppy (T1) at lid rise and gets first crack at the leader. Wide seed Boreen Pearl looks the likely leader from T6. She’s worth including in forecast bets.
