Boxing Day Accumulator Tips: Unwrapping a Championship five-fold

One of the best footballing days of the entire year has been decimated by the behemoth that is the Premier League, with just one top-flight match taking place, between Manchester United and Newcastle United.
However, fear not, because the EFL is here to keep to tradition with a full fixture list. Below you can find my Boxing Day Accumulator Tips as we search for a festive winner.

Coventry (H) to beat Swansea @ 4/9
The league leaders ground out a 1-1 draw with 10-men against Southampton at the weekend, and Frank Lampard grabbed the headlines as he fist-pumped to the Saints fans, who had been giving him grief all game, at full time.
Cov were without Bobby Thomas, Liam Kitching and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto due to illness, with several other players clearly struggling with sickness - so that is a massive point for them. Hopefully the illness will have abated, as they look to make it eight wins in a row at the CBS Arena against a Swansea team that have improved under Vitor Matos.
They’ve now won three of their last four, but all of those wins came at home and I can’t help but feel this one will be a stretch too far for the visitors.
Middlesbrough (H) to beat Blackburn @ 4/5
Kim Hellberg tasted his first defeat in charge of Boro on Saturday as Bristol City ended his winning run, but the visitors created plenty of chances in that one and I believe they will get back to winning way at the Riverside.
Morgan Whittaker is in fine form, Hayden Hackney is one of the best midfielders in the league and I just can’t see this Blackburn Rovers outfit being able to stop them - despite getting an impressive win of their own on the board against Millwall. Home win.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
Sheffield United (A) to beat Wrexham @ 11/10
A big one. Wrexham have been staying in games recently - but drawing too many in truth. They were on course for another draw before Arthur Okonkwo’s howler at Swansea cost them a point, and now they face in-form Sheffield United in North Wales.
The Blades hammered Birmingham City 3-0 and under Wilder, with Gustavo Hamer back in the team, are now really motoring. The play-offs aren’t out of reach just yet, and Wilder will surely relish this trip to face Wrexham in front of the cameras. Away win.
Hull (A) to beat Sheffield Wednesday @ 19/20
No surprise I’m backing Wednesday to lose again. The worst team in the Championship is looking more and more out of their depth as the weeks go on, with a takeover still going through the motions in the background.
Meanwhile, Hull have now won their last three games on the bounce and look like serious play-off contenders. This is a great price to add to your Boxing Day Accca.
Southampton (A) to beat Oxford United @ 4/5
Southampton have certainly improved under Tonda Eckert and although they couldn’t find a winner against 10-man Coventry, their attacking play has been impressive of late. Finn Azaz, Adam Armstrong and Leo Scienza are all flying right now, with Scienza the pick of the bunch from an attacking sense.
If Tom Fellows starts on the right, I think they could blow Oxford away - with the U’s in serious danger of going down this term. That rounds off our five-fold, which pays 25/1.
