Team News

Eddie Howe gave some detail on his three injury concerns in the form of Sven Botman, Yoane Wissa and Nick Pope in his pre-match press conference.

"With Sven he's going to see a specialist in the next couple of days to get a definitive opinion on whether he needs an injection or whether he's able to rest for a few days and resume training."

"Yoane participated in an 11 v 11 training game while we were at Everton. He'll have another one at some stage this week and we'll see how close he is."

"No further update from Saturday [on Pope]. He's one of a number of players we'll analyse early this week and try to get a proper diagnosis."

After such a strong performance at Everton, he could name an unchanged XI, with Malick Thiaw and Dan Burn set to resume their centre-back partnership after the German netted twice on Merseyside.

Premier League Odds

Thomas Frank needs to start getting wins on the board, but he has hinted at rotation heading into this game.

"I have to rotate some players to keep freshness, intensity high. As a good example at the moment we are playing four fantastic games in 10 days time so there's two in two days between the games. Probably with a squad that is less used to it than others, no problem we are learning along the way... We still need to perform and win matches."

Djed Spence, Xavi Simons, Brennan Johnson and Rodrigo Bentancur could all come into the XI as a result as Frank searches for that winning formula.

Newcastle vs Tottenham Predicted Lineups

  • Newcastle - Ramsdale; Livramento, Thiaw, Schar, Burn; Miley, Tonali, Guimaraes; Murphy, Woltemade, Gordon
  • Tottenham - Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Spence; Bentancur, Sarr; Johnson, Bergvall, Simons; Kolo Muani

Today's Football Fixtures

Newcastle vs Tottenham Hotspur Odds

Newcastle are the 4/5 favourites to win this game on home soil, giving them an implied win probability of 55%, while an away win can be backed at 16/5. A draw is 13/5 while over 2.5 goals is priced at 4/6.

BTTS has been a common occurrence for Newcastle lately and is 4/6, while Nick Woltemade at 7/2 is the favourite to open the scoring. You can find plenty of Price Boosts and Bet Builder Boosts on the link above.

Newcastle vs Tottenham Stats

  • Tottenham have lost three of their last four
  • BTTS has come in during the last six Newcastle league games
  • Woltemade and Richarlison have both scored five league goals this seasona

Price Boost - BTTS, Kolo Muani 1+ shot on target, Joao Palhinha to get booked @ 11/2

Both teams have scored in Newcastle’s last six Premier League matches, while five of their last six in all competitions have seen both teams find the net. They have plenty of attacking talent but are still leaking goals at the back, and the same can be said for Spurs.

They have seen both teams score in their last four games, including a 5-3 defeat to PSG and 2-2 draw with Manchester United. That’s a steady selection to get us up and running, while Randal Kolo Muani is now leading the line for the away side and should be able to get a shot on target. He’s had five PL shots, but none of them have been on target - so hopefully he can end that run here.

Joao Palhinha has picked up three yellow cards this season and is going to have to make some tackles and fouls to stop this Newcastle midfield. I like the look of this Price Boost at 11/2.

Price Boost - Newcastle to win, Woltemade and Richarlison to score @ 12/1

Go on then, let’s go for another Price Boost. Newcastle should win this game on home soil given Spurs have lost three of their last four and now sit 12th, while Newcastle have won their last two.

Up top, Woltemade has hit five goals in 10 Premier League outings and should be able to trouble this shaky Spurs back line, while Richarlison has five goals this term and has scored two goals in his last three. This Price Boost feels like it is generously priced on paper, so let’s add it to our selections.
