Juventus vs Manchester City Prediction: Stalemate in Orlando

Juventus lock horns with Manchester City at Camping World Stadium in Orlando for their final Group G match at the Fifa Club World Cup on Thursday (20:00 BST, DAZN). Both teams have won their two fixtures to date and this game will determine which of them goes through to the knockout stage as the group winners.
Below you will find my Juventus vs Manchester City predictions, aided by the latest team news and match odds.

Team News
Juve boss Igor Tudor has named the same team for the first two matches at the Club World Cup so far and he is expected to do the same against Man City, which will be his first test at the tournament.
If he were to consider making some changes, Dusan Vlahovic may push to start up front and Teun Koopmeiners may be deployed in the middle of the park, having replaced Weston McKennie at half-time in the previous match against Wydad Casablanca. However, Manuel Locatelli may be an alternative as he was able to shake off an ankle issue to feature last time out.
Mattia Perin (hand), Juan Cabal, Bremer (both knee) and Arkadiusz Milik (muscle) all remain unavailable due to injury.
Juventus vs Manchester City Stats
- Juventus are unbeaten in their last five appearances against Man City
- Over 2.5 goals has delivered in Juve's two CWC matches so far
Rayan Cherki, Phil Foden and Ruben Dias could all return to the starting lineup for Man City, while Rodri is pushing to start a match for the first time since September following his ACL injury.
Boss Pep Guardiola changed the shape of the team last time out, utilising a back three, which he may stick with to match Juventus. This was in part down to Rico Lewis' red card in the opening match, and the defender has been handed a further two-game suspension by a disciplinary committee, who deemed his challenge as serious foul play.
Juventus vs Manchester City Odds
Juventus have lost just one of their 11 matches since Tudor took charge of the club (winning seven of them) and they are 18/5 (which has an implied probability of 21.7%) to beat City, which they accomplished when they met in the Uefa Champions League back in December.
Two of the last five meetings between the two clubs have ended in a draw, and the stalemate is on offer at 11/4. City are 4/5 to come away with the victory, having won nine of their past 11 fixtures.
Draw @ 11/4
Both teams have been having a great time of it at the Club World Cup so far, but neither have really been tested. This game will give a measure of where they are both at in relation to their credentials to venture far in this tournament.
Tudor has had a quick impact since taking over Juve and he has some form on pressure on him because the Old Lady are unbeaten in their last five competitive appearances against Man City.
The latest came back in December in the league phase of the Uefa Champions League, which Juve won 2-0 at the Allianz Arena. The Italian giants have been demonstrating their attacking power thus far with nine goals scored, while the Citizens have eight for themselves.
It has been a tough campaign for Guardiola and his players but the new additions added ahead of this competition have seemingly sparked some life into the team.
With top spot at stake, this should be a very competitive affair but I am struggling to separate them so I'm going to sit on the fence with a draw - which has landed in two of their previous five meetings.

Both teams to score and over 2.5 goals @ 6/5
With the two sides scoring 17 goals between them across the first two matchdays, I would be surprised if there was a shortage of goals on Thursday. My second selection is the combination market of both teams to score and over 2.5 goals.
BTTS has been a successful bet in three of the past five meetings between the two clubs, and Juve have seen goals at both ends in two of their last three appearances heading into this clash. It's one of four for Man City, but this is a match where both clubs are up against top opposition.
Over 2.5 goals has landed in each of Juventus' previous three outings in all competitions, while there have been at least three goals scored in two of Man City's last four appearances.
