More Thunder @ 4/1
William Haggas has had a decent Royal Ascot so far, with Merchant winning the King George V Stakes and Bullet Point going down narrowly in the Royal Hunt Cup.
The star trainer looks to have another very solid handicap chance in the Wokingham Stakes, a race which he won last year with Unequal Love.
Haggas’ key contender this time around is More Thunder, who has won both of his races since joining this trainer from Sir Michael Stoute.
The form of those wins has worked out well, with Aramram, the colt who finished runner-up on both occasions in those races, winning next time out at Newbury.
Lethal Levi, who finished fifth in More Thunder’s most recent win at Newmarket, has since gone down by a short head in a Group 2 over in Ireland.
That victory came despite trouble in running and was only the four-year-old’s second outing as a sprinter, so he could still have more to give over these kinds of trips and the likely strong pace of this race should suit him.
More Thunder looks like a progressive sprinter with plenty of improvement ahead of him and is a reasonable price at the head of the market.

The seven-year-old had a disappointing time of things in Bahrain over the winter, but returned to British shores with a big-priced win over this course and distance in May.
George Baker’s charge was 22/1 to win that day and is around half that price to win this race.
The selection has a very respectable strike rate, winning nine of his 41 races, and he is suited by the quicker ground which he will get here.
A frontrunner, Seamie Heffernan will be tasked with making all upon Get It and he could do just that.
The gelding won the Stewards’ Cup in such circumstances last year and he is clearly still suited by these big-field handicaps.
There have been plenty of big-priced winners of this race over the years and it is hard to rule out Get It’s front-running tactics being successful once again here.
