Visitors Angers had racked up five successive wins in league and cup, but have since suffered a 1-0 defeat at Lens, before requiring a last-gasp equaliser to draw 1-1 at home to Le Havre. 

Recent meetings between these two clubs have proven to be tight encounters, with two draws in the last three clashes and under 2.5 goals landing in both of those share of the spoils.
