There are a host of semi-finals taking place on Saturday as ATP Tour events in Almaty, Antwerp and Stockholm reach the business end alongside WTA Tour competitions being staged in Ningbo and Osaka.

Therefore, it should come as no surprise to see a number of big names in action as women’s top-16 performers Paula Badosa and Daria Kasatkina clash on their Chinese travels in Ningbo, while men’s world number 13 Tommy Paul takes on former three-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka in Stockholm.

Tennis Betting Tips - Saturday, October 19

  • Paula Badosa to beat Daria Kasatkina 2-0 @ 8/11
  • Francisco Cerundolo to beat Gabriel Diallo @ 1/1
  • Diane Parry to beat Suzan Lamens @ 4/7

Paula Badosa to beat Daria Kasatkina 2-0 @ 8/11

Badosa has endured a couple of difficult seasons on the WTA Tour, but the determined Spaniard looks right back to her best and should be targeting silverware in Ningbo.

The former world number two is back up to 14th in the WTA Tour rankings, having claimed her first title in two years in Washington DC in August before a semi-final run in Cincinnati and a quarter-final effort at the US Open.

Since the beginning of July, Badosa has lost only five of her 29 matches and it may not be long until she breaks back into the world's top ten.

Tournament victories over Diana Shnaider, Xiyu Wang and Beatriz Haddad Maia read well and she can make the final with a comfortable victory over Kasatkina.

Badosa has won their last two meetings, one of which was at Wimbledon in July, so Kasatkina may well need to find more following three-set victories over Katerina Siniakova and Yulia Putintseva.

Francisco Cerundolo to beat Gabriel Diallo @ 1/1

Gabriel Diallo is not taken on lightly in this semi-final showdown in Almaty, especially following his latest victory over Alejandro Tabilo, but making the Canadian favourite to beat Francisco Cerundolo may be a slight overreaction.

Diallo is far more capable than his lowly ranking of 118 implies but Cerundolo is a genuine top-30 performer and, while clay may suit him best, he has had some excellent hard-court results recently.

The Argentine ace has defeated Jack Draper and Casper Ruud within the last month and there has been plenty to like about his straight-sets victories over Justin Engel and home favourite Alexander Shevchenko in Kazakhstan.

Diane Parry to beat Suzan Lamens @ 4/7

Diane Parry looks capable of going places and the French 22-year-old can secure her place in her maiden WTA Tour final with victory over Suzan Lamens in Osaka.

Parry has had a difficult route to the final four, having successfully navigated her way past Erika Andreeva, Greet Minnen and Clara Tauson, and that should have installed her with plenty of confidence ahead of this tussle.

The world number 52 defeated Lamens in their only previous meeting at the Billie Jean King Cup two years ago and Parry has progressed further since then, so expect her to again prove too strong for the Dutchwoman.
