After a winless April, Real Sociedad will be looking to get their season back on track with a victory over UD Las Palmas on Saturday at the Reale Arena on Saturday afternoon (KO, 13:00).

Read below for my Real Sociedad vs Las Palmas prediction as the sides meet in San Sebastian for the first time since November 2017.

Real Sociedad vs Las Palmas Betting Tips

  • Real Sociedad to win to nil @ 19/20
  • First half correct score - Real Sociedad 1-0 @ 15/8

Real Sociedad's 1-0 home defeat to Real Madrid last time out followed draws with Getafe (1-1) and Almeria (2-2) earlier in April, with their last win coming on March 31 at Alaves (1-0).

La Real are now just two points ahead of seventh-placed Real Betis, who could end the weekend above them in sixth if results go their way, and thus be in the driving seat to claim the second and final Europa League qualification position.

14th-placed Las Palmas, meanwhile, have little to play, as they are 11 points ahead of the relegation zone and 12 points behind a Europa Conference League berth.

Team News

Real Sociedad have several players sidelined through injury including Hamari Traore, Aihen Munoz, Martin Zubimendi and on-loan Arsenal full-back Kieran Tierney.

Arsen Zakharyan, Brais Mendez, Sheraldo Becker and Andre Silva are among those pushing for starts after beginning the defeat to Real Madrid on the bench.

Las Palmas will be without Julian Araujo as the on-loan Barcelona defender continues his recovery from a muscle injury.

Match Odds

Real Sociedad are 1/3 to return to winning ways on Saturday, giving them an implied win probability of 75%, while Las Palmas can be backed at 9/1 - or a 10% chance - to claim three points for the first time since February 10.

The draw is available at 4/1, both teams to score at 5/4, and over 3.5 goals at 9/4.

Real Sociedad to win to nil @ 19/20

Las Palmas have lost six successive games and scored just one goal across that run, while at least one side has blanked in three of Real Sociedad's last six La Liga matches, with La Real keeping clean sheets against both Cadiz and Alavaes in wins to nil.

Saturday's hosts have kept 12 clean sheets in the league this term - only Real Madrid (17), Athletic Club (15) and Barcelona (14) have recorded more shutouts - and Imanol Alguacil's side have won seven of those games.

A home win to nil appears a likely outcome at the Reale Arena this weekend with a lot still on the line for La Real, and very little for Los Amarillos.

61% of Las Palmas' league games this season have ended with at least one team failing to score, and they have blanked in 14 games themselves.

Real Sociedad to win to nil vs Las Palmas at 19-20

First half correct score - Real Sociedad 1-0 @ 15/8

There has been exactly one goal in the first half in three of Real Sociedad's last four league games at the Reale Arena, with their last win at home - a 2-0 victory over Cadiz on March 15 - seeing them head into the interval a goal to the good.

Las Palmas, meanwhile, have been losing 1-0 at half-time in four of their last six matches, including last time out in a 2-0 reverse at home to Girona.

First half correct score - Real Sociedad 1-0 vs Las Palmas at 15-8
