The second leg of Paris Saint-Germain vs Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League headlines Tuesday's footballing roster, but there is also another eye-catching contest in the League 1 play-offs as Bolton Wanderers host Barnsley for their second leg.

With these two interesting games on offer, I think there is a good opportunity for a midweek accumulator. I have put together a treble from Tuesday's fixtures, including the above mentioned battles, which pays out at an enticing 6.34/1. Below I have detailed my football accumulator tips.

Football Accumulator Tips: Tuesday, May 7

  • Draw or Borussia Dortmund vs Paris Saint-Germain @ 7/5
  • Bolton Wanderers to beat Barnsley @ 7/10
  • Schalke to beat VfL Osnabruck @ 4/5

Draw or Borussia Dortmund vs Paris Saint-Germain @ 7/5

This may be seen as bold given how PSG have lost just once at Parc des Princes in the Champions League this season but I was so impressed with how Borussia Dortmund contained Les Parisiens in the first leg, and they may regret not taking some of their own chances to boost their advantage in this tie.

PSG will be fired up for their home leg and Dortmund will know it is probably unlikely that Kylian Mbappe will be as quiet as he was last week. That being said, the Black and Yellows defended resolutely and carved out some good attacks, which I believe they can do again in the second leg.

I've gone for double chance here because I can also see PSG clawing their way back into this tie, but I do believe Dortmund have what it takes to potentially win this game too, or at least take it to extra time and maybe penalties.

Bolton Wanderers to beat Barnsley @ 7/10

Bolton Wanderers head into their League 1 semi-final second leg with a 3-1 lead over Barnsley, which sets up Ian Evatt's side up nicely for part two on home soil at the Toughsheet Community Stadium. Over the course of the season, the Trotters have been the much better of the two sides and for much of last week's clash at Oakwell, this was evident.

The Tykes didn't click into gear until they were already two goals down, so we could be about to see them start slowly in Bolton for the second leg. I do think the first goal here will be crucial and right now I fancy it will go in the way of the hosts. And in that case, I reckon the Trotters will see the game out with relative ease.

Schalke to beat VfL Osnabruck @ 4/5

VfL Osnabruck  and Schalke have both struggled this season in the 2. Bundesliga and the pair meet at Bremer Brucke on Tuesday. The hosts are bottom of the table and on the cusp of relegation, while Schalke are 12th, as their fall from grace continues.

The visitors do head into this clash in much better form than the division's whipping boys, having gone unbeaten in their last six, and I fancy this streak to continue in midweek. VfL Osnabruck have lost two on the bounce as the threat of relegation appears to be getting to the players, so I think that they will be downbeat for this encounter.

This will give Schalke a good opportunity to get another valuable win on the board, and I believe that they can get the job done, but I'm not sure it will be straightforward. That is because they have had their own defensive woes this year.
