At 75th, Georgia will be the lowest-ranked nation at Euro 2024, and after being drawn in a group containing Portugal, Turkey and the Czech Republic, are expected to be on the first flight home.

But can the Crusaders spring a surprise in Germany? I take a look at their chances and all the latest betting odds in my Euro 2024 Georgia predictions down below.

Euro 2024 Predictions - Georgia

  • Outright Winners @ 500/1
  • To Qualify From Group F @ 11/8
  • To Win Group F @ 14/1
  • Total Group Points - 0 @ 3/1
  • Top Team Goalscorer - Khvicha Kvaratskhelia @ 15/8

Georgia reached their first-ever European Championship after beating Luxembourg and Greece in one-off play-off matches in March.

Before those games, the Crusaders finished fourth in a five-team Euro 2024 qualifying group behind Spain, Scotland and Norway, and had to rely on their Nations League performances to reach the play-offs.

It's a squad desperately lacking in elite-level experience with only three players - Giorgi Mamardashvili (Valencia), Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (Napoli) and Georges Mikautadze (Metz) - ending the past season in a 'top five' league - and Mikautadze suffered relegation from Ligue 1 with his loan club.

Those three players are among Georgia's most important; Mamardashvili is likely to be busy between the sticks while Kvaratskhelia and Mikautadze are their country's best hopes of scoring.

Others to watch out for include Giorgi Chakvetadze (Watford), who registered three assists in Euro 2024 qualifying, and Saba Lobjanidze (Atlanta United), who recently bagged a brace in MLS against an Inter Miami outfit containing the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

Squad

Midfielders: Sandro Altunashvili (Wolfsberger), Giorgi Chakvetadze (Watford), Zuriko Davitashvili (Bordeaux), Otar Kiteishvili (Sturm Graz), Giorgi Kochorashvili (Levante), Nika Kvekveskiri (Lech Poznań), Saba Lobjanidze (Atlanta United), Anzor Mekvabishvili (Universitatea Craiova), Gabriel Sigua (Basel), Levan Shengelia (Panetolikos), Giorgi Tsitaishvili (Dinamo Batumi)

Euro 2024 Odds

Outright Winners @ 500/1

The longest price to win the tournament with Betfred, Georgia are more than rank outsiders. Greece won Euro 2024, and that was considered an almighty shock - Georgia triumphing this year would outdo that achievement by some considerable distance.

To Qualify From Group F @ 11/8

Things could have been worse for Georgia - just look at Group B, where Albania are up against it with Spain, Italy and Croatia for company.

Portugal are huge favourites in Group F, but Turkey and the Czech Republic are a shadow of their former selves (I'm thinking 2002 Turkey and 2004 Czech Republic). A second or third-place finish - which could send them to the last 16 - isn't totally out of the question.

To Win Group F @ 14/1

It's Portugal's to lose, isn't it?

Total Group Points - 0 @ 3/1

Despite not totally writing off their chances of qualification from the group, the sad reality is that I think there is a chance Georgia end their first European Championship finals without a point to their name.

The Georgians play Turkey first before facing the Czech Republic four days later, and both of those two countries will be targeting three points against the lowest-ranked nation in the competition.

I'm not sure whether they will get embarrassed by either, but they may struggle to attain a positive result against the Turks or Czechs, and could then play Portugal on the final day with little incentive to pull off an upset.

Euro 2024 Group F Georgia total points - 0 @ 3-1

Top Team Goalscorer - Khvicha Kvaratskhelia @ 15/8

Mikautadze is an option at 7/2 after scoring 14 goals in 22 appearances for Metz during the second half of the 2023/24 campaign, while the 23-year-old also struck three times during qualification.

However, it's hard to look past Kvaratskhelia after he top-scored for Georgia with four goals in their group. The Napoli winger scored 11 times in Serie A last season and is likely to be their designated penalty taker this summer.

He failed with his last spot-kick for Georgia, seeing one saved by Scotland's Angus Gunn last June, but had scored his previous two for his country, while Mikautadze missed one in a shoot-out against Greece in March.
