England take on familiar foes Denmark on Thursday evening (KO, 17:00) hoping to qualify from Group C with a game to spare, live on BBC One.

The Three Lions' just about came through their opening clash with Serbia with the three points, while Denmark shared the spoils with Slovenia. Read on for my Denmark vs England prediction, as well as the latest team news and match odds.

Denmark vs England Betting Tips

  • England to win and under 3.5 goals @ 23/20
  • Jude Bellingham to score anytime @ 11/4
  • Correct Score - England to win 2-1 @ 15/2

England will be looking to make it six points from a possible six when they take on Denmark at the Deutsche Bank Park in Frankfurt on Thursday.

The Three Lions' opening encounter was Serbia was one of two very different halves. Gareth Southgate's side dominated proceedings in the opening 45 minutes, and when Jude Bellingham broke the deadlock, it seemed inevitable that England would go to score one or two more.

However, the Serbians came out swinging in the second half and created several openings, which they may have took on another occasion. The silver lining for Southgate is that his side held on to secure an all-important three points, which takes the pressure off this tussle with Denmark.

Team News

We could see some rotation from Southgate after Harry Kane cut an isolated figure on Sunday, potentially replacing Phil Foden with Anthony Gordon for some genuine width on the left flank.

Trent Alexander-Arnold started alongside Declan Rice in midfield against Serbia, but he may be swapped out for Conor Gallagher, Kobbie Mainoo or Adam Wharton.

As for Denmark, Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund is expected to lead the line, while Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will start in the engine room alongside Morten Hjulmand.

Joachim Andersen, Andreas Christensen and Jannik Vestergaard look set to retain their places in a three-man defence, protecting Kasper Schmeichel between the sticks.

Denmark vs England Odds

England are favourites for the game at 7/10, which implies they have a 58.8% theoretical chance of claiming all three points here and securing a place in the knockout rounds. Denmark are 9/2, and the draw can be backed at 13/5.

Both teams to score is priced up at 1/1, while over 2.5 goals can be backed at 11/10.

England to win and under 3.5 goals @ 23/20

England showed enough know-how to get through the Serbia tie unscathed, but Denmark will pose a different challenge. The sides met in the last four at Euro 2024, and the Danes will know that after drawing 1-1 with Slovakia, that they realistically need to beat either England or Serbia in order to have any chance of getting out of the group.

Kasper Hjulmand's side will be kicking themselves that they didn't win their opening game after dominating possession for the majority of the 90 minutes, but they're more than capable of causing England problems, with John Stones and Marc Guehi set to be tested by a front two of Rasmus Hojlund and Jonas Wind.

That being said, despite Southgate's men looking far from convincing in the second half on Sunday, I believe that the Three Lions will put in a much-improved display here and they should be too strong for the Danes.

I'm not anticipating a goal-fest as there have only been five scored in their last four meetings between the sides in all competitions. In addition, England very rarely steamroll their opponents, and none of the last five encounters between the two teams have been decided by more than a one-goal margin.

England and under 3.5 goals at 23-20

Jude Bellingham to score anytime @ 11/4

The 20-year-old was England's standout performer in the victory over Serbia - and by some distance too.

He took the game by the scruff of its neck in the first half in particular, scoring a fine header and always showing for the ball.

Bellingham enjoyed a brilliant maiden campaign at Real Madrid last season, thriving as a goalscoring attacking midfielder, and it appears he's been given the same role by Southgate.

The former Birmingham City man will be a goal threat in any match England play at this tournament, and if Kane remains isolated up front, the goalscoring burden will fall onto the shoulders of 'Belligol'.

Bellingham anytime scorer at 11-4

Correct Score - England to win 2-1 @ 15/2

I'm backing a 2-1 England win on Thursday, mainly because I believe we'll see a much-improved Three Lions performance.

Typically, as I've alluded to above, clashes between these two sides tend to produce low-scoring, tight affairs, so I'm expecting another one here.
