After stunning Liverpool in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-final last week, it’s back to the bread and butter of Serie A for Atalanta when they host Hellas Verona on Monday night.

La Dea are a real force on home soil and will fancy their chances of making up lost ground in the Serie A standings as well as being able to rest a few key figures for Thursday's second meeting with Jurgen Klopp’s Reds.

Atalanta vs Hellas Verona betting tips

  • Atalanta to win to nil @ 13/10
  • Ademola Lookman to score anytime @ 6/4

Team News

Giorgio Scalvini misses out for Atalanta due to a hamstring injury and Sead Kolasinac may not be risked as he works his way back to full fitness following an adductor issue. Marten De Roon and Davide Zappacosta are suspended

Home boss Gian Piero Gasperini is likely to make a number of changes to the side who beat Liverpool at Anfield last Thursday.

As for Verona, Stuart Serdar misses out due to suspension while Juan Cruz faces a race against time to recover from a muscle issue.

Giangiacomo Magnani is pushing for a return to the starting XI after serving a suspension.

Atalanta to win to nil @ 13/10

Atalanta have been solid at home for much of the 2023-24 campaign, recording 10 wins from 14 matches in Bergamo, seven of which have been accompanied by a clean sheet.

An eighth home success to nil may be on the cards when struggling Verona head to the Gewiss Stadium on Monday evening.

Winless in their last three Serie A games following defeats to AC Milan and Genoa and a draw with Cagliari, Verona find themselves just one point above the relegation zone in Serie A with games running out.

And their recent record against Atalanta doesn't augur well for improving their outlook, either. La Dea have won eight of their last 11 meetings with Verona and will be determined to narrow the gap to the top four with another routine home victory.

Ademola Lookman to score anytime @ 6/4

Atalanta striker Gianluca Scamacca seems likely to be rested following his brace at Anfield so more responsibility will fall on the shoulders of Ademola Lookman for goals.

The former Everton forward has already scored eight goals in Serie A this season and found the net in Atalanta’s last home game against Bologna.

At 6/4, the 26-year-old is good value to again make his mark against a porous Verona rearguard.

Match Odds

Atalanta are 2/5 to win in Bergamo on Monday evening with Verona 13/2 underdogs to cause an upset at Gewiss Stadium.

The draw is an 18/5 chance while over 3.5 goals is available at a tempting 7/4.
