We have an NFC East battle to look forward to on Christmas Day as the New York Giants travel to the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field.

The Giants' season has been over for some time, but they would love nothing more than to put a dent in the Eagles' chances of winning the division.

Philadelphia's season has started to unravel, but a home clash against a team with a 5-9 record presents the perfect opportunity to get back on track.

Eagles vs Giants Prediction

  • Philadelphia Eagles - 13.5 @ 10/11
  • Over 42.5 points @ 20/23

Team News

The Giants have issues on both lines, with offensive tackle Evan Neal out injured, while defensive tackle Rakeem Nunez-Roches will play no part either.

Coach Brian Daboll could also be without A'Shawn Robinson, Dexter Lawrence II and Lawrence Cager, who are all listed as questionable.

Eagles boss Nick Sirianni will not be able to call upon the services of Zach Cunningham, Darius Slay and Landon Dickerson. Cornerback Avonte Maddox has yet to return from IR, while Nicholas Morrow is questionable.

Match Odds

The Eagles are as short as 1/8 to pick up the victory, while the Giants are considered 11/2 outsiders. Philadelphia not only have the home advantage, but they have won four of their last five against divisional opponents.

They are 10/11 to cover the -13.5 handicap, with the Giants the same price to lose by 13 or less.

The overs line is set at 42.5, with over 20/23, while Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is the favourite to score the first touchdown at 4/1.

Philadelphia Eagles - 13.5 @ 10/11

Philadelphia are in uncharted waters at the minute, losing three games in succession for the first time this season.

The San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys and Seattle Seahawks have all got the better of them of late, and the pressure is on if they want to finish above Dallas in the NFC East.

Both teams have a 10-4 record, but it is the Cowboys that will finish top if they win out from here.

While things have turned a little sour for the Eagles, this is still a winnable matchup. Hurts was quick to issue a rallying cry last week, and they need to put the Giants back in their place after they won three of their previous four.

Philadelphia are 5-1 at home, and they should have no issue covering the handicap, especially with the Giants 2-6 on the road.

Over 42.5 points @ 20/23

The Giants have enjoyed Tommy DeVito's reign as quarterback, and he has helped his team put points on the board. Daboll's team scored 31 against the Washington Commanders and 24 against the Green Bay Packers.

They were a little disappointing in their 24-6 defeat to the New Orleans Saints last week, but they can play their part in this one.

We expect them to be outclassed, but the Eagles' secondary has been poor all year, and the Giants would love to put them under pressure in a divisional matchup, so we expect 43 points or more on Monday night.
