The four remaining French Open quarter-finals take place on day 11 at Roland Garros, and there is plenty to look forward to as men’s world number one Jannik Sinner and women’s second seed Coco Gauff put their title credentials on the line. Sinner is expected to breeze past Jack Draper’s conqueror, Alexander Bublik, while Gauff, runner-up to Iga Swiatek in the 2022 final, takes on Australian Open champion Madison Keys in an all-American affair.

The titanic tussle between last season’s runner-up Alexander Zverev and 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic is set to take centre stage, while rising star Mirra Andreeva meets home favourite Lois Boisson, bidding to make successive French Open semi-finals. Below are my Tennis Betting Tips for Wednesday, June 4.

Tennis Betting Tips - Wednesday, June 4

  • Novak Djokovic to beat Alexander Zverev @ 10/11
  • Under 28.5 games in Jannik Sinner vs Alexander Bublik @ 5/6
  • Coco Gauff to win 2-0 vs Madison Keys @ 5/4

Novak Djokovic to beat Alexander Zverev @ 10/11

Bookmakers are struggling to separate Zverev, who lost to Carlos Alcaraz in a five-set epic in last season’s final, and three-time Roland Garros hero Djokovic.

However, Djokovic has won three of his four Grand Slam rivalries with Zverev, including at this stage of the French Open in 2019, and he appears to have found form at the perfect time.

At 38 years of age, Djokovic is evidently a declining force, but a title success in Geneva in his final preparation for Paris has restored confidence, and he comes into this last-eight clash following four straight-set victories.

Zverev, still on the hunt for a maiden piece of Grand Slam silverware, can still endure a mental block against the ATP Tour’s elite, and he has been wildly inconsistent ever since finishing runner-up to Jannik Sinner at the Australian Open in January.

Under 28.5 games in Jannik Sinner vs Alexander Bublik @ 5/6

Having been forced to serve a three-month doping suspension on the back of his Australian Open triumph in January, Sinner looks determined to make up for lost time, and he has breezed past his opening four opponents in the French capital.

Sinner is yet to drop a set, and his last three encounters with Richard Gasquet, Jiri Lehecka and Andrey Rublev have all been wrapped up with the minimum of fuss, featuring 26 games or fewer.

Bublik did upset Draper in the previous round, but this represents his first Grand Slam quarter-final, and he is unlikely to live with Sinner in this mood.

The Italian looks like a man on a mission and can ease into the final four.

Coco Gauff to win 2-0 vs Madison Keys @ 5/4

The clay-court season has rejuvenated Gauff, and the American ace gets set for her fifth straight French Open quarter-final appearance, with fellow countrywoman Keys potentially the unfortunate beneficiary.

Keys claimed her maiden Grand Slam title in Australia at the start of the year, but quicker conditions bring out the best in her, and in Gauff, she meets a player operating at the peak of her powers.

Gauff finished runner-up in Madrid and Rome in her two outings before heading to Paris, and her four straight-set victories at Roland Garros mean that she has triumphed in 14 of her last 16 clay-court matches.

The 21-year-old has lost to only world number one Aryna Sabalenka and Jasmine Paolini in her home tournament in that period, and her quick starts to matches could soon pile the pressure on Keys.
