Reds vs Brumbies Prediction: Brumbies ready to rock Brisbane

The ACT Brumbies have won their last three meetings with Australian rivals the Reds, including their last two trips to Brisbane.
Stephen Larkham's side head to Suncorp Stadium on Saturday (10:35, Sky Sports Action) fresh from a bye week, most recently recording a 34-27 home win over the Highlanders. Below are my Reds vs Brumbies predictions, supported by team news and match odds.
Reds vs Brumbies Betting Tips
*odds correct at the time of publishing
While they have lost at the Chiefs and the Waratahs this season, the Brumbies have beaten the Drua and the Blues on the road.
Les Kiss' Reds have won their three home matches in 2025 but were well beaten 27-15 by the Chiefs in Hamilton in their last game.
They have won their last six Australian derbies, but facing last year's beaten semi-finalists could prove problematic, especially with two of ACT's back three currently in flying form.
Team News
Reds' scrum-half Tate McDermott will captain the team and will make his 100th appearance, while hooker Matt Faessler and tighthead prop Zane Nonggorr earn their 50th caps for the franchise.
However, number eight Harry Wilson is out with an arm fracture suffered in the defeat to the Chiefs, while three-quarter Filipo Daugunu has a lower limb problem.
Brumbies winger Andy Muirhead will also become a centurion after being retained on the right edge of the attack, as Larkham makes two changes to the team that beat the Highlanders, with Tuaina Taii Tualima starting at number eight.
That means Rob Valetini shifts to blindside flanker, and Tom Hooper moves into the second row. Ryan Lonergan starts at scrum half.
The hosts are 8/13 to end their three-match losing run against the Brumbies, who are available at 7/5 for the victory and the tie is 18/1.
Brumbies +2 @ 21/20
The Brumbies have had the edge in recent contests, winning the last meeting 20-19 in March 2024.
A week off means they should be fresh, and they will fancy themselves to end the Reds' recent strong record against Australian opposition and become the first team to beat them in Brisbane in 2025.
Their 7/5 to win is a good price, but considering they did so by a single point last season, the 13/10 carrying a two-point start provides some wriggle room if the match becomes another tight contest.

Andy Muirhead Anytime Tryscorer @ 13/10
It's a big night for Muirhead, and he is in the type of form to mark it with a try.
The winger has gone over in his team's last three matches to take his season's tally to six, and the Brisbane-born flyer will be desperate to celebrate his landmark evening in style in his home city.

Tom Wright Anytime Tryscorer @ 15/8
Tom Wright has scored three tries across his team's two most recent wins over the Reds, and his 15/8 is a good price to grab another score.
The rangy full-back's 403 metres gained was 92 more than any other player after seven rounds of the 2025 Super Rugby competition.
Wright has had his issues in recent years, mainly defensively, but has always been an attacking livewire and could prove elusive again.
