Chiefs -5 @ EVS
These sides faced off in the Grand Final last season and the Chiefs will be going all out for revenge after their heartbreak against the Crusaders in the finale last term.
The Crusaders have managed to edge out two victories against the Chiefs during the 2026 regular season but the return of Damian McKenzie to the No.10 shirt is a substantial boost for the Hamilton outfit.
McKenzie was sidelined with a nasty head injury but since his return, the All Blacks star has shone.
Scoring two tries in the qualifying round against the Reds last time out, McKenzie showed just how important he is for the Chiefs and he can prove the difference in Friday’s showdown at FMG Stadium Waikato.
While there is unlikely to be much in this contest, the Chiefs, who are on a seven-game winning streak at home, are backed to cover the -5 handicap here.

Double Result - Chiefs/Chiefs @ 21/20
A strong start will be vital for the hosts if they are to get one over on a Crusaders side who have caused them problems in the recent past.
The Chiefs have won their last three semi-finals in Super Rugby Pacific and given their strength at home, the hosts are good value to be leading at both the break and full-time on Friday.
