Hurricanes vs Chiefs Betting Tips

  • Chiefs -5 handicap @ 11/10
  • Double Result - Hurricanes-Chiefs @ 13/2

Team News

The Hurricanes go with a front row of Tevita Mafileo, Asafo Aumua and Tyrel Lomax, while locks Caleb Delany and Isaia Walker-Leawere will get through plenty of work in the second row.

A back row is made up of Brayden Iose, Du’Plessis Kirifi and Peter Lakai, with Cam Roigard and Ruben Love in the half-backs.

It’s Riley Higgins and Billy Proctor in the centres, with a back three made up of Kini Naholo, Ngane Punivai and Callum Harkin.

As for the Chiefs, Ollie Norris, Bradley Slater and George Dyer start in the front row, with Josh Lord and Tupou Vaa’i in the engine room.

Samipeni Finau, Kaylum Boshier and Luke Jacobson make up the back three, with Cortez Ratima and Josh Jacomb in the half-backs.

Quinn Tupaea and Daniel Rona start in the centres, with a back three consisting of Leroy Carter, Emoni Narawa and Shaun Stevenson.

Match Odds, Hurricanes vs Chiefs

The Hurricanes are 13/10 to win in the Kiwi capital on Saturday, while the Chiefs are 4/6 to head back to Hamilton with the victory.

A draw is available at 20/1, while the Hurricanes to be leading at the half-time whistle at Sky Stadium is currently 6/5.

Chiefs -5 handicap @ 11/10

The Chiefs are once again without star playmaker Damian McKenzie due to a hand injury but they coped without him for their 55-22 win over Western Force last time out.

In free-scoring form, the Chiefs are averaging just over 37 points a game in attack, while they are currently the leading point scorers in the competition with 372.

The Hurricanes impressed with a win at the Brumbies most recently but it’s hard to see them backing up that result against the table-topping Chiefs, who should be able to cover the -5 handicap in this one.

Double Result - Hurricanes-Chiefs @ 13/2

The Chiefs have won four of their last five games at Sky Stadium against the Hurricanes, including three victories after trailing at half-time on the day in that spell.

With that in mind, the Hurricanes to be leading at half-time but for the Chiefs to come storming back in the second half to win the game again appeals at odds of 13/2.
