Northampton Saints vs Gloucester Prediction: Saints can stretch unbeaten home run in style

Northampton's squad underwent a summer overhaul after winning last season's Premiership title and they went into the hiatus for the autumn Tests sitting in seventh in the standings, having won only three of their opening six matches.

Northampton Saints vs Gloucester Betting Tips
- Northampton -14 @ 5/4
The Saints won three out of three in the Premiership Rugby Cup and can recall some of their star names following international duty for their league return when Gloucester visit Franklin's Gardens on Saturday.
The Cherry and Whites sit a place above the Saints in the standings but lost 90-0 at the Gardens in May.
George Skivington's team won two of their three Premiership Rugby Cup matches and have beaten both Bristol and Newcastle in the league this season.
No side has been involved in games featuring more points than Gloucester and with Northampton unbeaten at home in over a year, a high-scoring home win looks the bet to back.
Team News
Northampton's youngsters have represented the club well in the Premiership Rugby Cup but there is a more star-studded tinge to their side for Saturday.
George Furbank returns to lead the team from full-back, while Ollie Sleigtholme and Fin Smith also feature behind the scrum. There's also a start for Tom Pearson in the back row.
Gloucester's Afo Fasogbon starts at tighthead prop after making his debut in the Red Rose's win over Japan on Sunday, while the back row includes Jack Clement, who will make his 101st appearance for the club after reaching a century last weekend against Exeter.
Gareth Anscombe starts at number 10 and the visitors have a decent-looking bench, including 2021 British & Irish Lions Test centre Chris Harris and Wales international Josh Hathaway.

Match Odds
Northampton are 2/11 to win on Saturday, with a rare tie available at 22/1 and Gloucester 4/1 to repeat their away victory over Bristol.
The three-way handicap is set at -11, with Northampton 10/11 giving away that start.
Northampton -14 @ 5/4
The Saints were always going to struggle after saying goodbye to stalwarts such as Courtney Lawes and Lewis Ludlam after June's Grand Final win over Bath at Twickenham, but three wins from six outings is still a meagre return.
However, zone in on their record and their home form has remained excellent, winning all three of their outings at the Gardens and their 110 points scored is more than any other team at home.
They are unbeaten on their own patch since Bristol did the business in October 2023 - a run of 18 games - and will expect to overcome an exciting yet open Gloucester side who run in tries for fun but, conversely, whose attacking style means leaking scores is an occupational hazard.
Still, a repeat of last season's 90-0 is unlikely, bordering on implausible, but Northampton should still win with plenty to spare.
Their last home win in the league was a 47-17 success over Sale and something similar could be on the cards.
As of writing, the three-way handicap is set at -11 but it is worth pushing for the right side of 1/1 and the 5/4 on offer for the Saints to win giving away a 14-point start appeals.
