The late fixture on Saturday in the Premiership sees two sides in poor form go head-to-head as Harlequins host Leicester Tigers at Twickenham Stoop (18:00 kick-off).

The Quins head into this round of fixtures in seventh place, having won just three of their opening eight matches, and Danny Wilson’s men are currently on a run of four defeats from five in all competitions - with their only victory coming in a 53-16 success over Stormers in the European Rugby Champions Cup two weeks ago.

Leicester are better off in terms of league standings as they head into the weekend in fourth - just one point of both Sale Sharks and Gloucester - but a run of three defeats from their last four across league and cup obligations has stunted their early promise and they will be desperate for victory in order to keep tabs with third-placed Saracens, who travel to league leaders Bath in the early kick-off.

Team News

Harlequins coach Danny Wilson has named seven new faces to his side from that which were beaten 14-0 by Gloucester last time out, with four of these coming in the scrum.

Titi Lamositele comes in for Simon Kerrod in the front three while George Hammond, Chandler Cunningham-South and Will Evans are replaced by Irne Herbst, James Chisholm and Jack Kenningham.

The three changes at the back see veteran scrum-half Danny Care return to the number nine shirt ahead of Will Porter, while Luke Northmore and Nick David are preferred ahead of Lennox Anyanwu and Tyrone Green.

Leicester head coach Michael Cheika has made three changes to the starting XV that were thrashed 54-24 at home by Bristol in their last Premiership match, with each of these alterations coming in the back seven.

Jack van Poortvliet returns at scrum-half in place of the benched Ben Youngs while Will Wand and Josh Bassett both drop out of the matchday squad, with Dan Kelly and former Quins winger Mike Brown starting at outside centre and right wing respectively.

There is also a landmark appearance for lock Cameron Henderson as he makes his 50th appearance for the club.

Match Odds

Home advantage means that Harlequins are the preferred favourites at 1/2 whereas the Tigers are 17/10 to take at least four points back to Welford Road.

The draw is at 20/1 while backing the minus four handicap for either side would provide odds of 10/11.

Leicester Tigers to win @ 15/8

Leicester may have been thrashed in their last league fixture but that was against the Premiership’s highest points scorers in Bristol and they should be able to put up more of a fight against a Quins side with just 24 points scored over their last two league games.

The visitors possess the third best away record in the league with three wins from their first four matches on the road while they have also come out on top in both of their last two visits to Twickenham Stoop.

The Quins have lost both of their last two home Premiership matches - with both of these defeats coming against sides currently in the top four - and against another play-off contender in the Tigers, their stumbling attack could falter.
