Titans vs Broncos Prediction: Get on the champs to finally let their hair down

Brisbane Broncos’ return to form will be given a test on Saturday when the NRL champions head to the Cbus Super Stadium to face the Gold Coast Titans (18:35 local, 09:35 BST, Sky Sports Main Event).
The Titans got off the mark last week against the Dragons, while the Bronx have responded to three straight losses with back-to-back wins. Here are my Titans vs Broncos predictions, the latest team news and match odds from Betfred.

Josh Hannay’s side are not fancied to turn the champions over. They’re an 11/4 bet with Betfred, which implies a probability of 26.7%.
The Broncos are a restrictive 2/7 on the money line (77.8%), with the draw 18/1.
The expectations are laid bare in the two-way handicap, with Brisbane giving up a 13.5-point start. The Titans are 10/11 and the Broncos 5/6 against the altered parameters.
Team News
Unsurprisingly, Hannay responds to a first victory by naming an unchanged 19-player squad.
Half-backs Lachlan Ilias and Jayden Campbell will again be key to the Titans having a hope of collecting the two points.
Payne Haas is back for the Broncos in the single biggest piece of team news. He missed the Queensland derby win over the Dolphins due to a shoulder problem, but his return means Xavier Willison switches to the interchange bench.
Jesse Arthars is called upon after Grant Anderson sustained a knee injury, and Gehamat Shibasaki comes into the first XIII at centre.
Broncos by 13+ @ 4/5
There’s been a bit of a shift change in the past couple of weeks. After losing the World Club Challenge to Hull KR, back-to-back losses to the Panthers and – most surprisingly – the Eels left many questioning Michael Maguire’s side.
But the resilience on show in their win over the Storm in Round 3 has said much about what the Bronx still have in their armoury, and their 26-12 success against the Dolphins was further evidence.
They should have far too much for the Titans, whose aims are far from those of Brisbane. The likes of Reece Walsh, Ezra Mam and Adam Reynolds are really starting to click, and with Haas back in the ranks it should be too difficult a task for the Titans to even keep it close.
So the three-score victory seems a safe tip at 4/5 and an implied 55.6% chance.

Broncos Over 36.5 Total Points @ 6/4
The Broncos haven’t really let loose yet. Sure, they scored 32 against Parramatta, but that was in a chaotic eight-point defeat.
But against the Gold Coast they have the chance to truly let their hair down. With so many threats all over the place, they should look more like the side who cleared the 36.5-point barrier on eight occasions on the way to the title last year.
At 6/4, this is a punter-friendly option for my mind.
