Irish Lotto Big Winner: Cleaner enjoys tidy £59,000 payout

A big win on the Irish Lotto was just what the doctor ordered for Betfred customer Kevin Dixon.

The 67-year-old, who works part-time cleaning his local GP surgery, bet £7 on the numbers 3, 7, 11 and 21 – and they were all drawn, returning a whopping £59,500!

Kevin, an online regular at Betfred, said: “My wife and I are over the moon. She will find some way to spend it for sure, starting with a new mobile for Christmas.

"I must admit, my heart skipped a beat when I saw all that money in my account. We'll be getting some jobs done at home such as new doors, new bathroom and new kitchen as well.

"We will be going to see our daughter who works on the continent in the New Year but first we will probably go out somewhere local to celebrate. I'm not someone who's going to go wild. In fact, I'm a bit of a bore!

"I have stuck with the numbers 3, 7 and 11 for a long time now and add a fourth number – in this case 21 – randomly.

"I'm not expecting tears but I got absolutely taken to the cleaners on the Irish at the weekend, losing north of three million quid. I reckon Kevin was the biggest winner of the hundreds who cashed in at my expense, so well done to him."
