Bricklayer Tom Hart cemented a big win at Betfred after predicting the results of TWELVE football matches.

From a £1 accumulator, the 59-year-old picked up £6,698, which he plans to spend on holidays in Egypt and possibly Cyprus too.

Father-of-two Tom, a regular at the Betfred shop in Chippenham, Wiltshire, opted for Aston Villa to beat Crystal Palace, Fulham to get one over Luton, Brighton to triumph against Manchester United, Spurs to get three points against Sheffield and champions Manchester City to beat West Ham.

In the Championship, he backed Blackburn against Middlesbrough, Huddersfield at home to Rotherham, Norwich against Stoke, Preston versus Plymouth, Sunderland at QPR, Ipswich at Sheffield Wednesday and, finally, Watford against Birmingham.

“Notice I didn’t bet on Arsenal,” joked Tom, who added: “Normally I am two or three teams out on my acca.

“My routine on Saturday is to go to Betfred before watching my local non-league team Chippenham Town, which is when I checked my slip and realised I’d won.

“Once we have spent some of the winnings on re-decorating our home, we’ll be going to Egypt as I’m really into archaeology.

“Louise loves lying by the pool and fancies Cyprus, so we’ll probably be going to both countries… you never know!”

Betfred boss Fred Done said:

“As a hard-working brickie, Tom knows all about building – a bet, in this case!

“I’m honestly paying out with a smile, even if Tom opted for Brighton to win at Old Trafford, the hallowed home of my team.”
