It was a right royal breakfast feast for Paul Glaze and his groundworker pals after the 64-year-old won big at Betfred.

Paul, who pocked £30,000 from a 50p wager on the Nifty 50 lotto game, ordered bacon, sausage and egg sandwiches for five – plus jam doughnuts to top it off!

The group were on a Nuneaton housing estate when self-employed Paul told them breakfast was on him after five of his numbers – namely 12, 17, 19, 28 and 29 – were all drawn to land his five-fold wager.

Grandfather Paul not only treated his workmates, but also gave some money to his two children, booked a winter break in the Canaries… and his next intention is to donate to his grandson’s football team so they can buy new kits.

“I just want to share the love,” said Paul, from Northfield, Birmingham.

He went on: “I’ve been using those numbers for 20-odd years, always on the 49s – but then I switched to the Nifty 50 because the odds are better.

“The numbers 12, 19, 28 and 29 represents the birthdays of me, my daughter, wife and son respectively – while 17 is the day I married Karen.

“The lads loved their special breakfast too – especially the doughnuts – and I’m sure we’ll enjoy our holiday in Tenerife too.”

Betfred boss Fred Done said:

“Congratulations Paul. You say you want to share the love and, after picking my pocket of £30,000, you’ve proved a man of your word.”
