Breeders’ Cup Sprint Picks: Revenge is in the air for Bentornato

Race 6 on the Saturday Card at Del Mar in the Breeders' Cup Sprint and our US Racing Correspondent is looking for a horse to avenge his defeat in this race a year ago.
You can check out who and why as Paul Quigley takes you through his thoughts ahead of the race on Saturday evening...
Bentornato (10) will rightly have his supporters here. He ran too good to lose to Straight No Chaser (12) in this race last year. Judging by his belated comeback in September, he may be even better this term. He trounced some very good sprinters in a very fast time at Churchill. In contrast to him, defending champion Straight No Chaser (12) ran well below form on his return. He has been away six months so could have been ring-rusty.
Imagination (7) caused a mild upset when beating Dr. Venkman (6) and Straight No Chaser (12) at Santa Anita in September. Judging by that effort, sprinting is the game for this former miler. He could be a late player.
Kopion (1) is a very interesting late addition to this race. She was being aimed to take on her own sex in The Filly and Mare Sprint. Her connections seem confident of a big run by Tamara in the same ownership. Hence she has been rerouted to take on the boys. Her sprint form is top drawer with a clear-cut Grade 1 victory to her name. Although Bentornato (10) is my clear pick, she is worth a saver or saver forecast.
Forgive give his last nun and Mullikin (11) is a place chance at least. He ran well in this race last year.
Note: This is a Betfred Extra Place Race where we are paying out four places rather than three on each-way bets.
