Horse Racing Tips: Let’s Twist again

There's some competitive action scheduled across Britain and Ireland on Tuesday, including a seven-race jumps card from Ayr and an eight-race AW Flat fixture from Dundalk.
Among our horse racing tips for the day is one for Olly Murphy and Sean Bowen in the opener from Ayr, as the Champion Jockey looks to enhance his already impressive strike-rate at the venue.

12:48 Ayr - Next Twist @ 7/4
Sean Bowen has won on 18 of his 63 rides at Ayr and the Champion Jockey has another strong book of rides on Tuesday's card, including Olly Murphy's NEXT TWIST in the opening novices' hurdle.
The selection showed ability in bumpers, finishing in the frame at both Sandown and Ffos Las, but he's closely related to smart 1m7f-2m3f hurdle/chase winner Steel Ally, so was always likely to improve for the switch to jumps this season.
He didn't pull up any trees on his hurdling debut at Stratford in October, running to a Racing Post Rating of 97 when finishing sixth of the 14 runners. However, he proved a very different animal in a first-time hood at Southwell the following month, pulling a comfortable six lengths ahead of subsequent Lingfield winner, Precious Metal.
He's got a penalty to contend with on this occasion, but remains open to plenty of improvement.

14:30 Dundalk - Arcabulle @ 8/1
Gavin Cromwell's ACRABULLE ran poorly over 7f here last month, but he had valid excuses for that and may improve off a handy mark on this handicap debut, upped in trip.
The three-year-old, who is a half-brother to five winners, including 1m4f AW winner Ice Pyramid, shaped with plenty of promise when third of 11 over 6f here on his debut in October and backed that up, certainly in terms of the figures, when finishing fifth over 7f the following month.
He was slowly away and raced wide in his first-time blinkers when blowing out over the same trip last time, but wasn't given a hard time once beaten, so is entitled to take a big step forward now handicapped.
He's twice run to a Racing Post Rating of 74, so this official mark of 73 likely underestimates him, while Jack Kearney takes off a valuable 3lb.

15:30 Dundalk - This Guy @ 8/11
Some potential improvers are lurking in this field, but THE GUY has plenty of experience and fully deserves his mark of 74.
The Daniel James Murphy-trained three-year-old started out with Clive Cox in Britain, running a couple of fair races for that handler.
However, he's found clear improvement since joining this yard, finishing in the money in all three starts over sprint trips at this track, the last twice when runner-up over course-and-distance.
Beaten a nose in a nursery off 72 last month under today's 7lb claimer, Patrick McGettigan, a reproduction of that form could prove good enough against these rivals.
