Lucky 15 Tips: Champ can top and tail for us on Thursday

Let's ring the changes once again ahead of all roads leading to Epsom on Friday/Saturday for the Betfred Oaks/Derby weekend, by selecting Uttoxeter for our Lucky 15 tips on Thursday.
The seven-race card gets underway at 14:00 with Sean Bowen, Gavin Sheehan and Harry Skelton among the stellar talents on parade. Oh, and we had two good winners at Nottingham yesterday, at advised odds of 11/8 and 5/1.
Lucky 15 tips - Thursday 4 June 2026
Uttoxeter
- 15:00 - Secret Trix @ 7/4
- 15:30 - That's Nice @ 15/8
- 16:30 - Karnaval Point @ 11/4
- 17:03 - Ask A Sainte @ 3/1
*Odds correct as of the time of publication
15:00 - Secret Trix @ 7/4
Almost 3m is the trip, for a Class 4 handicap hurdle.
Sean Bowen teams up with Olly Murphy and the nine-year-old Kayf Tara gelding Secret Trix. He's scored seven times from 34 outings and contested races fully two levels above this one on his last two starts.
He's a course and distance winner and had wind surgery in early March. The class drop, and Sean's urgings, can see him back in the winners' enclosure.
15:30 - That's Nice @ 15/8
A 3m mares' handicap chase now, and a very interesting six-year-old sporting the green and gold of JP McManus, trained by Nicky Henderson, and ridden by Harry Cobden.
That's Nice ran here on 16 May and after a mistake at the last finished 11.5l adrift of another Bowen/Murphy conveyance. JP's 'new' man is in the plate today and the mere presence of a Nicky/JP/Cobden entrant in a £4,700 midweek tiddler like this demands that we sit up and take notice.
She's two-from-eight all told, and on the face of it this looks like a very sound opportunity to make it three.
16:30 - Karnaval Point @ 11/4
Another handicap chase, this time in a Class 4 over 2m 5f.
Somerset maestro David Pipe trains Karnaval Point, a six-year-old French-bred gelding, who only joined the Nicholashayne operation just over a fortnight ago.
One run so far for new connections, at Worcester 13 days ago, and the selection scored readily off a mark of 108 in a similar test. He's up a whopping 9lb this afternoon but really did have something in hand and I guess we'll see exactly how much today.
Claiming 5lb Rian Corcoran rides, as he did at Worcester, and it's interesting that the horse's new 'family' turn him out again so soon, evidently hopeful while he's in such good heart.
A Skelton inmate lurks dangerously getting plenty of weight but he doesn't look remotely unbeatable and I'm certainly hopeful.
17:03 - Ask A Sainte @ 3/1
Bowen and Murphy top and tail our Lucky 15 selections for today, as we take in a 2m Class 5 handicap hurdle.
Ask A Sainte is a six-year-old gelding looking for win number one after six attempts. Nothing sensational to report so far but, encouragingly, he ran well here 19 days ago for a 3lb claimer, going down by just 4.75l.
The assessor has responded by dropping him a pound, which is welcome, and you've got to think that the presence in the plate of the mercurial champion Bowen is nothing but a massive bonus.
It will be the first time Sean's sat on him and this contest, at just £3,248 to the winner, shouldn't take the world of winning.
If all four of our selections won, today's notional 50p win Lucky 15, at the prices indicated (they can of course fluctuate), would return around £172 for a £7.50 total stake. If you can improve upon our selections (of course you can) - then go for it!
