There are a total of six meetings scheduled across Britain and Ireland on Saturday, with a pair of Premier Raceday cards at Aintree and Sandown supported by action from Chepstow,  Navan, Wetherby and Wolverhampton.

Among our Saturday horse racing tips is one for Philip Hobbs and Johnson White, who has looked the real deal in winning all four outings under rules so far.

11:55 Chepstow - The Price Of Peace @ 1/3

The Rebecca Curtis-trained THE PRICE OF PEACE ran with huge credit in what looked a hot race at Ffos Las on his rules/hurdling debut last month and he’s going to take plenty of beating if building on that.

The six-year-old was purchased privately having won an Irish point by 32 lengths in March and he caught the eye both in the preliminaries and the race itself at Ffos Las, dwarfing the majority of his rivals.

Green as grass first brought under pressure, he ran a mighty race to finish second behind Ben Pauling’s well supported Kalkbrenner, keeping on resolutely after a couple of notably clumsy leaps over each of the last two flights (the second-last was bypassed) and running to an impressive Racing Post Rating of 125 in the process.

That form has been well advertised subsequently with the third, Swindon Village since winning at Leicester while the fourth, Klimt Madrik, went on to score at Newbury.

A half-brother to multiple winners over distances ranging from 2m1f-2m7f, The Price of Peace has surely got a bright future ahead of him, particularly as a staying chaser down the line.

12:10 Sandown - Sober Glory @ 1/2

Phillip Hobbs and Johnson White have a couple of smart, young hurdlers in their care this season in French Ship and SOBER GLORY, the latter putting his unbeaten record on the line at Sandown on Saturday afternoon.

The selection beat the now 126-rated hurdler, Great Fleet, when winning an Irish point in May of last year and he’s done nothing but improve since joining the professional ranks, rattling off a hat-trick of bumper victories at Chepstow, Exeter and Newbury, the last of those when running to a Racing Post Rating of 121 in Listed company.

Closely related to smart bumper and 2m3f-3m hurdle/chase winner Fingal Bay, there was plenty of expectation ahead of his hurdling debut at Chepstow last month and he certainly didn’t disappoint, justifying odds-on favouritism by 12 lengths and with the minimum of fuss under Ben Jones, and bettering the best of his bumper form by 12lb, according the figures.

This represents a stiffer task for him, but he’s a hugely exciting prospect and looks set to add his name to the illustrious list of previous winners of this Listed prize, which includes Constitution Hill.

18:30 Wolverhampton - Hitched @ 5/1

This has a competitive look to it, but David Simcock’s HITCHED has been in good form since returning from a break and is fancied to enhance his already impressive record on the AW.

The five-year-old, although twice successful on turf, has been campaigned almost solely on the artificial surfaces over the last couple of years, winning six of his 26 outings and rarely out of the money.

He was a big eyecatcher at Lingfield in October (his first start since June), coming from a seemingly impossible position under Luke Morris to finish fourth, beaten just two lengths.

Never involved in a race that wasn’t run to suit here afterwards, he looked unlucky not to win over this course and distance at the end of last month, keeping on strongly to finish second to the reopposing Tribal Wisdom, having been denied a clear run at a vital stage.

He’s 1lb better off with that rival now and can gain compensation.
