Horse Racing Tips: Shader to land Floodlit Stakes for Keane

The first week of November starts with five race meetings across the UK on Monday, with a mix of jumps and all-weather fare. They go jumping at Plumpton and Hereford alongside afternoon Flat racing from Kempton on the Polytrack, while in the evening they race on the Tapeta at Southwell and Wolverhampton.
Below are my three tips for Monday's racing, including Juddmonte contender Shader for John & Thady Gosden in the feature race of the day, the Listed Floodlit Stakes at Kempton.

The Olly Murphy and Sean Bowen partnership is knocking it out of the park right now, operating at a 46 percent strike-rate in the last fortnight with the champion jockey showcasing all of his ability with a stunning AP McCoy-esque winning ride on Strong Leader at Wetherby on Saturday afternoon that defied logic.
They team up here with once-raced point-to-point winner DAYLATEDOLLARSHORT in the Roy Farley 80th Birthday Celebration Maiden Hurdle at Plumpton.
A son of Derby winner Wings Of Eagles, the four-year-old got up late to win at Loughrea in May for the renowned Colin Bowe team and has since moved to Britain having changed hands for £34,000.
He makes his Rules debut here and could have too much for previous hurdles runners-up Maldini Milano and Order Of Justice.

15:00 Kempton – Shader @ 9/4
Colin Keane's job as retained rider with Juddmonte sends him to Kempton Park on Monday afternoon where the Listed Floodlit Stakes – run at three o'clock in the afternoon – is the feature race and he rides SHADER for John & Thady Gosden.
The Shamardal gelding had two very easy all-weather wins in September 2024, at Southwell and then at Kempton over course and distance.
We've only seen him once this season, at Haydock in May when he was third in a decent Class 2 handicap despite a sluggish start.
He's still very much unexposed and while now stepping into Listed company he remains unbeaten on synthetic surfaces and could further boost Keane's excellent Kempton record in 2025 which shows a 33 percent strike-rate (4-12).

18:00 Wolverhampton – Scenario @ 7/1
The hat-trick-seeking Blue Jay Way has leading claims in this 7f contest but he's gone up another 3lb for his win over C&D a fortnight ago and might be worth taking on now that he's leaving behind that apprentice handicap stage.
SCENARIO has moved to Tony Carroll since finishing second at Chelmsford in September over this trip.
The Territories filly was a winner on the turf at Lingfield in the summer and that most recent Polytrack run saw her caught short of racing room at a crucial stage before finishing well for second spot.
The three-year-old runs off the same mark of 52 on stable debut and this trip appears optimal for her at this point in her career.
