Horse Racing Tips: Un Sens A La Vie can return to winning ways

We had a feast of top quality racing to enjoy over the weekend and there’s plenty happening on Monday too, with five meetings taking place across Britain, although there’s no Irish action on the schedule.
Kempton is the first meeting to get underway and more jumping action is provided by Sedgefield and Ludlow. Newcastle and Wolverhampton take us through the evening, with a couple of intriguing all-weather cards. We have three strong fancies for our Monday horse racing tips and they include a promising novice hurdler who can get back on track with a big performance at Kempton for Nigel & Willie Twiston-Davies.

12:55 Kempton - Un Sens A La Vie @ 11/8
UN SENS A LA VIE was purchased for £180,000 after winning a point-to-point at Loughrea in October 2024 and made the perfect start to his career under rules when winning a bumper at Market Rasen by three-and-a-half lengths in February.
Impressive again on his first start over hurdles last month, he made all the running and pulled clear readily up the run-in, in the style of a very promising horse. Connections then ran him in a Grade 2 at Cheltenham 10 days later and he was admittedly disappointing.
It’s possible that the race came too soon for him and it’s easy to forgive one bad performance. This is a steep drop in grade for the five-year-old and he is fully expected to return a much stronger effort in this company.

13:25 Kempton - Jeriko Du Reponet @ 1/1
The talented JERIKO DU REPONET looked like a potential Supreme type as a novice hurdler a couple of seasons ago but the wheels came off somewhat and it took him a while to get back on track. Trainer Nicky Henderson worked his magic and last season was much improved.
He finished third in a Pertemps qualifier over 2m7f at Exeter and found only stablemate Doddiethegreat too good in the Final at the Cheltenham Festival. That was a career-best effort and his trainer firmly believes he can be a top chaser.
Henderson’s six-year-old reversed the form with Doddiethegreat when winning a Listed contest at Punchestown last time out. Although this shorter trip isn’t ideal, he’s rated significantly higher than the rest of the field and should be too good for them.

13:55 Kempton - Holly Hartingo @ 17/2
This race looks fairly competitive for the grade and one horse who is likely to appreciate a step down in class is Alastair Ralph’s HOLLY HARTINGO. Perhaps not always the most consistent, she’s useful on her day and ran a cracker over course and distance last time.
That run came in a hot Class 2 event for mares and she stayed on well after getting outpaced at a key stage. Dropping into a 0-120 Class 4 here, she should be capable of coming out on top.
She has won three of her 13 starts over hurdles and was most recently successful at Chepstow in October last year. The handicapper has left her on a mark of 115 and that could prove to be generous on the evidence of her most recent display.
