Horse Racing Tips: Bear can be the boss at Plumpton
There’s plenty happening on Monday and we have four meetings on the agenda across Britain and Ireland. All tastes will be catered for, with a good mix of National Hunt and all-weather racing on offer.
Lingfield gets us under way in the morning, with Naas and Lingfield following shortly after, while Wolverhampton provides the evening entertainment with a nine-race card.
Amongst our Monday fancies is one for training duo Gary & Josh Moore, who can extend their excellent run of recent form with a potentially useful novice hurdler at Plumpton.
Horse Racing Tips - Monday, December 15
- 11:12 Lingfield - Real Gold @ 12/1
- 13:30 Plumpton - The Boss Bear @ 6/4
- 14:00 Plumpton - Avada Kedavra @ 13/8

11:12 Lingfield - Real Gold @ 12/1
Lingfield’s opening race is a competitive-looking, albeit low grade, nursery and Rachel Cook & John Bridger are set to run REAL GOLD. The two-year-old has had four starts so far and this will be her first in handicap company, which could facilitate lots of improvement.
She struggled initially but produced a much improved display to finish third in a six-runner novice at Lingfield last time out. A slow start certainly didn’t help her cause that day but she stuck to her task well and ran a respectable race at a massive price.
The handicapper has allotted her an opening mark of 59, which looks workable and she’s entitled to progress beyond it.
Hopefully she can improve further and handicaps could bring out the best in her. Ryan Kavanagh’s 5lb claim will certainly come in handy too so don’t rule her out.
11:12 Lingfield - Winner

13:30 Plumpton - The Boss Bear @ 6/4
Gary & Josh Moore are firing on all cylinders at the moment; having had 11 winners in the last fortnight, and are operating at a strike-rate of 32 percent. The yard is represented by three runners at Plumpton on Monday and THE BOSS BEAR looks like their biggest chance.
This son of Doyen made his debut in a bumper at Huntingdon back in April and showed lots of potential, finishing second by a narrow margin. There was more to come at Fontwell next time and he produced an even better performance to score by seven lengths.
Travelling well throughout, he took up the lead with two furlongs to go and the result was never in doubt from that point on.
His rivals had no answer and he pulled clear to score with loads in hand. That was a very promising effort and he could be one to follow this season.
Making his first start over hurdles now, this looks like a very winnable race and if he turns up in similar form, the five-year-old could prove hard to beat.
13:30 Plumpton - Winner

14:00 Plumpton - Avada Kedavra @ 13/8
AVADA KEDAVRA has moved around a couple of times already and began his career under rules with Nicky Henderson. He failed to win in five starts for the yard but did manage to make the frame on one occasion.
A short stint with Joanne Priest then followed and he managed to win the second of two point-to-point starts for her, before making the switch to David Bridgwater.
Avada Kedavra produced a decent performance to finish third at Kempton on his penultimate start.
Even better at Taunton last time out, he managed to earn a first success under rules and he was a comfortable victor in the end.
Brendan Powell was on board last time and he takes the ride once again, with further progress anticipated off a 6lb higher mark.
14:00 Plumpton - Winner
Avada KedavraOdds correct at time of publishing.
