Monday Racing Tips: Current Edition has more to offer for Twiston-Davies

There is plenty of racing to look forward to across Britain and Ireland on Monday with four meetings taking place, including a mix of jumps, Flat and all-weather fare.
They go over jumps at Ludlow alongside the Flat card on the turf from Navan, while Kempton and Wolverhampton (evening) provide the action on the synthetic surfaces at the start of Easter week.
My three best bets for Monday's action are below, including a hurdles debutant with scope for a big effort under Sam Twiston-Davies at Ludlow.
Horse Racing tips - Monday, March 30
- 14:10 Kempton – Mehmas Engine @ 13/8
- 14:27 Ludlow – Current Edition @ 11/1
- 19:30 Wolverhampton – Angel Numbers @ 9/2

14:10 Kempton – Mehmas Engine @ 13/8
A 6f novice stakes for fillies awaits five runners at Kempton and MEHMAS ENGINE can get the job done on second start for James Tate.
She was sent off favourite on debut over 5f at Southwell five weeks ago and ran a close third despite having to switch course late on.
The three-year-old ran on strongly enough under pressure and should have gleaned plenty from the experience, while the step up in trip at Kempton will suit.
She had a next-time-out winner behind in fourth in that debut run and can improve now, getting weight from the likes of Minnie Idol and C&D winner Barefoot Beach.

14:27 Ludlow – Current Edition @ 11/1
Sam Twiston-Davies has kept up his momentum since partnering Isaac Des Obeaux to win the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter this month. He was on the scoresheet at Stratford on Saturday for his father & brother and will ride CURRENT EDITION for Nigel & Willie Twiston-Davies in the Weatherbys nhstallions.co.uk Novices' Hurdle at Ludlow.
The ex-Sean Doyle point-to-pointer was running a big race at Loughanmore between the flags a year ago when he came down at the last in a contest won by Love Sign D'aunou – that rival seemingly with a big future ahead in the hands of Willie Mullins.
The runner-up, Gin Tonic, has won a maiden hurdle in Ireland for Paul Nolan and Current Edition has shaped with promise in a couple of bumpers at Warwick and Fakenham this season for the Twiston-Davies yard.
He's had a wind op since the second of those runs and goes jumping with scope for better.
Last time out winners Jimbo Sport and Snatch A Glance set the standard but concede 7lbs and that should hand an opportunity to Current Glance in this eight-runner race where he looks a solid each-way contender.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
19:30 Wolverhampton – Angel Numbers @ 9/2
ANGEL NUMBERS came close to a winning return to action for Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole at Wolverhampton over this trip early in the month and the Profitable filly looks a danger again now.
She was produced to lead by Hollie Doyle in that Class 5 contest inside the final furlong and just got herself a bit unbalanced briefly, allowing Wisetanck to finish over the top and land the prize.
That was Angel Numbers' first run since November and she should be sharper for it. She's nudged up 1lb in the ratings for that defeat and Jack Doughty takes over now. She has run well in this grade before from higher marks and looks to have sound claims.
