Tuesday Racing Tips: Nine can enhance Leicester record

There are four meetings scheduled in Britain on Tuesday, a pair of afternoon jumps cards accompanied by two AW Flat fixtures, one of which concludes late into the evening.
First off is Catterick (2pm), closely followed by Newcastle (2.12pm) and Leicester (2.20pm). Southwell’s AW twilight card gets underway at 3.55pm. Amongst our Tuesday fancies is one for trainer Sarah Jayne-Davies, who has undergone wind surgery since finishing second over the same course-and-distance last month.

Sean Bowen continues to churn out the winners with tremendous regularity and he looks set to add another to his tally courtesy of ITSINTHENAME in the opening maiden hurdle at Catterick.
The reigning Champion Jockey is fast closing in on AP McCoy’s record of 287 winners for a season and he's teamed up with Nick Scholfield to good effect in recent days, partnering a double for the fledgling trainer at Fontwell on Sunday.
The selection makes his stable/hurdling debut for Scholfield, having shown a good amount of ability when third in an Irish point and when touched off in a Lingfield bumper for Willy and Nigel Twiston-Davies last month.
Scholfield has sent out five winners from only 14 runners during the last fortnight, including three from his last four.

14:50 Leicester - Nine Nine Nine @ 11/4
Course form can count for a lot at Leicester and few have a better record at the track than NINE NINE NINE, who has won twice here and only finished out of the money once in his nine visits.
He's found one too good on his latest two starts over this course-and-distance, including most recently last month when he pulled well clear of the third.
He's since undergone a breathing operation, so there's potentially of improvement to come for this nine-year-old, who is already well treated off 84, having won off a 3lb higher mark here in March 2024.
Shane Fenelon, who has partnered the selection the last three times, takes off a valuable 5lb.

15:30 Catterick - Medieval Gold @ 3/1
Brian Hughes is riding arguably better than ever this season and has built a particularly strong association with Patrick Neville, the pair having teamed up with 15 winners this term at an impressive strike-rate of 28 per cent (15-54).
The duo combine again at Catterick on Tuesday, with the lightly raced MEDIEVAL GOLD, who shaped with plenty of promise when a never-nearer third on his stable debut off this mark of 115 at Carlisle last month.
The selection won readily under Hughes off a 7lb lower mark at the same track for Micky Hammond previously and his form figures when ridden by the three-time Champion Jockey now read 213.
