Friday Racing Tips: Bellamy the Captain of Liam’s trio

We have a flurry of AW meetings across the UK and Ireland on Friday as well as two jumps meetings taking place in the afternoon.
Among our Friday horse racing tips is Harry Derham’s unbeaten La Frimeur, bidding to make it two wins from two over hurdles in the first race of the day at Newbury.
Friday Horse Racing Tips - March 20
- 14:00 Newbury - Le Frimeur @ 5/2
- 14:30 Newbury - Captain Bellamy @ 9/4
- 19:30 Wolverhampton - Spanish Voice @ 9/4

14:00 Newbury - Le Frimeur @ 5/2
LE FRIMEUR can get us off to a flyer in the first at Newbury, having been an impressive winner of his only point-to-point before owners Simon Munir and Isaac Souede purchased him.
He joined Harry Derham's yard for his hurdling debut at Chepstow back in November, when he was very well backed into even-money favouritism.
The five-year-old struggled with his jumping during the first half of that race, looking like a novice and certainly not fluent, but once asked the question approaching home, he stayed on nicely to win with something in hand.
Le Frimeur looks to have a nice engine and, with a step up in trip to 2m4f, this should be right up his street. If he can brush up his jumping and improve again - in receipt of 4lb from Came To Nowhere - he can remain unbeaten.

14:30 Newbury - Captain Bellamy @ 9/4
CAPTAIN BELLAMY has yet to get off the mark over the larger obstacles in three starts, all of which have been at Newbury, having been fifth on his debut over fences behind Mambonumberfive, a race in which four of the runners had won seven times between them.
He did step forward on his next run, up in trip, only just denied by a short-head by Calimystic, who has since won again.
The heavy ground may have played its part when he looked as though he was struggling to a sixth-place finish on his following start ground behind Holloway Queen.
However, that form has received a massive boost, as the winner was successful again in the National Hunt Chase at the Cheltenham Festival last week.
The looks to be more to come from Captain Bellamy as a chaser and if can reproduce his second-start performance over fences, he will be hard to beat.

19:30 Wolverhampton - Spanish Voice @ 9/4
A chance is taken on SPANISH VOICE to bounce back to form at Wolverhampton after a disappointing effort last time out at Kempton.
This lightly raced four-year-old had won his previous two starts, taking a competitive novice race at Newmarket back in April before scoring again at Lingfield as a heavy favourite.
He was stepped up in trip to 1m4f at Kempton for the first time most recently, but was far too keen to do himself justice.
Seeming to light up after dwelling at the start, Callum Hutchinson had no choice but to let him pull his way to the front. In no surprise, he weakened quickly in the closing stages.
Andrew Balding's four-year-old is a lot better than he showed that day and, if he settles more effectively this time, he can bounce back to winning ways.
