Thursday Racing Tips: Harry worth tracking at Newcastle

Jumps racing holds sway across the UK and Ireland on Thursday, with three meetings taking place across the afternoon - while there is one All-Weather flat meeting taking us through the evening.
Among our Thursday horse racing tips is an unexposed four-year-old for Clive Cox who is looking to make it back to back wins on the AW after winning after a break at Lingfield last time.

15:40 Sedgefield - Desertmore News @ 11/8
DESERTMORE NEWS couldn’t have been more impressive on his hurdles debut at Southwell back in February, although the bare form of that race doesn’t look the strongest.
He ran out a 13-length winner that day before stepping up in class to contest the Dovecote Grade 2 Hurdle at Kempton on his next start. He took a keen hold and was beaten before two out, which doesn’t look like his true running.
The forecast good ground should play to his strengths, and he looks to have found a good opportunity to get back to winning ways.
He set the best RPR in the race on his debut win, and a repeat of that would see him go close - although he will need to settle better than last time.

18:30 Newcastle - Fast Track Harry @ 15/8
FAST TRACK HARRY catches the eye in this one, having started last season strongly with a win at Doncaster, which came on his first run since wind surgery.
He followed that up with a good second in a competitive handicap at York, and that race has since produced multiple winners.
The four-year-old did disappoint on his next start when sent off favourite at Ascot back in July, and again at the same track in September.
His form suggests he prefers going left-handed, so it was no surprise to see him bounce back at Lingfield after a break in February, winning a Class 2 handicap. Newcastle should suit him well.
He has been raised 3lb for that success, but the lightly-raced four-year-old looks the type to keep improving for Clive Cox, and it would be no surprise to see him go close again.

19:00 Newcastle - Inishbeg @ 6/4
It was eye-catching that INISHBEG made his two-year-old debut in the Convivial Class 2 at York last year and was only beaten eight lengths by more experienced rivals. The form of that race has a solid look to it, with the fourth, New Monarch, finishing fourth in the Goffs Million at the Curragh.
The son of Ghaiyyath was a 500,000gns purchase as a yearling and is a half-brother to Volterra. He stepped forward from his debut when finishing second at Redcar, where he looked to bump into a good one in Yazin, who has since won again and looks a promising prospect.
That looks to be the best form on offer among those who have had a run, and this doesn’t appear the strongest of races.
There should be more to come as a three-year-old, and Inishbeg can go close to opening his account before likely stepping up in class again.
