Wednesday Racing Tips: Tan can burn off Newmarket rivals

There are five fixtures scheduled across Britain and Ireland on Wednesday - the highlight being the continuation of the Craven meeting at Newmarket.
Among our Wednesday fancies is one at HQ who showed a good level of ability last year and may well have been underestimated by the handicapper.
Wednesday Racing Tips - April 15
- 14:32 Leopardstown - Diego El Queso @ 9/4
- 17:17 Newmarket - Ranga Tang @ 4/1
- 17:22 Southwell - Bill The Bull @ 7/4

14:32 Leopardstown - Diego El Queso @ 9/4
Ger Lyons' DIEGO EL QUESO suffered an agonising short-head defeat on his reappearance at The Curragh 12 days ago and, although a 4lb rise makes life more difficult, he's entitled to have tightened up for that first outing since December.
The four-year-old has developed into a very consistent performer over both 7f and a mile over the past 12 months and has been rather unfortunate only to have won once so far in his ten-race career, finding one too good on for separate occasions.
He ran to a Racing Post Rating matching today’s new official mark of 92, so he's likely to be bang there again.
Colin Keane retains the ride.

17:17 Newmarket - Ranga Tang @ 4/1
This looks competitive, but the James Owen-trained RANGA TANG makes his handicap debut off a potentially lenient mark and warrants an interest.
The three-year-old showed a good level of ability in two of his three starts at two, initially when running to a Racing Post Rating of 78 when fifth on his debut at Newmarket in September - form that worked out exceptionally well with the second, third, fourth and sixth home all successful next time.
He was unable to match that at Goodwood subsequently, but the winner Poseidon's Warrior is held in some regard and is declared to run in the Listed Feilden Stakes on this card at 2.25.
However, the selection's subsequent second at Wolverhampton, when he ran to a Racing Post Rating of 84, was a good effort and gives him strong claims off this opening official mark of 80.
He goes up in trip and has first-time cheekpieces added.

17:22 Southwell - Bill The Bull @ 7/4
Adam Kirby has made a good start to his training career and BILL THE BULL did him proud in the Brocklesby at Doncaster at the end of last month, the 17k guineas son of Coulsty showing good pace before fading late on, having received a hefty bump from Dance A Jig a furlong out.
An April foal he's only just turned two and was the youngest of the 15 runners at Town Moor, so is entitled to have plenty of growing and strengthening up to do.
However, he's a half-brother to multiple juvenile winners and is out of a two-year-old winner, so may well be at his peak sooner rather than later.
