Sunday Racing Tips: Kel ready to large it up at Warwick

Three National Hunt meetings make up Sunday's fare across Britain and Ireland.
There's competitive action at Carlisle and Warwick, while over in Ireland Naas hosts a decent card with the Leinster National taking centre stage.
Among our fancies for the day is one for trainer Richard Hobson who should relish the conditions at the Midlands track.

15:10 Warwick - Kel Du Large @ 7/2
Jane Williams' six-year-old Kel Du Large looked a promising type at the beginning of his career, winning his first three starts, the second of which was a Cheltenham Listed Bumper on New Year’s Day 2024.
He won his hurdles debut at Hereford the following month to make it three out of three, but he was not seen again until reappearing at Exeter in November, where he ran with credit to finish a close up third.
A close fifth in a competitive Cheltenham handicap followed before a disappointing effort, up in trip at Windsor. He redeemed himself last time out, back at Hereford, narrowly prevailing on the run-in.
The step up in trip should suit, he is bred to stay at least this far. The track should suit and he has form on varying ground conditions.
He has only gone up 3lbs for that latest win and is still unexposed so could start fulfilling his earlier promise.

16:25 Carlisle - Lady In The Park @ 10/3
Only seven runners here, but unexposed chaser Lady In The Park for the Russell/Scudamore combination stands out as the one to back.
Having shown promise over hurdles, she started last season over the bigger obstacles. After finishing a close fourth on her first attempt the next two efforts were disappointing, so she returned to hurdles for her next three runs.
She was sent back over fences for her final run of last season and that earlier experience paid dividends as front running tactics and first-time blinkers seemed to help when she won well over 3m at Perth.
She reappeared last month but likely needed the run and the shorter trip may not have suited her when she finished second here. She should be fitter for that run and going back up in trip will help.
With only five chases under her belt there could be more to come.

16:48 Warwick - Jupiter Des Bordes @ 9/1
The ex-French gelding Jupiter Des Bordes showed ability in his first four runs for Richard Hobson last season and started this term off in good form.
Those runs, 2m4f-2m5f, yielded three places, but the step up in trip seems to have garnered a bit more from him. A reasonable effort over 3m at Wetherby in November was followed by a win over the same trip here a month later, beating a rival here, House Of Habsburg.
He went into extreme distance territory at Haydock next time and was narrowly beaten into second despite being out of the handicap and he may have won but for a couple of poor jumps.
His last two efforts have been below par and he needs a revival, but a return to this track will help as will the less testing conditions.
His small yard generally does well with these long-distance types and he is unexposed over extreme trips, so a return to his early-season form could see him right in the mix.
