Monday Racing Tips: Majolique ready to step things up

Easter Monday is a hectic day for racing fans with seven meetings across Britain and Ireland, including the headline act of the Irish Grand National at Fairyhouse at 17:00.
That's one of four graded races at Fairyhouse, while Irish action also comes from Cork. They are joined in Britain by jumps cards at Hereford, Plumpton and Fakenham, while Flat cards are from Kempton and Wolverhampton on the all-weather, with a total of 52 races from 13:15 until 18:10. 14:40 Fairyhouse - Majolique @ 15/8
Owner Kenny Alexander could have another smart female on his hands in the Honeysuckle silks with MAJOLIQUE.
The four-year-old beat a subsequent Listed runner-up in a 1m2f Longchamp newcomers race on her sole Flat start before arriving at Closutton with Willie Mullins.
She made her debut over timber at Naas in February and overcame a sedate early pace and some left-handed jumping to win well at the line despite colliding with the wings of the second-last flight.
She was under pressure from there but did well to squeeze through on the inside of the leader and then she pulled clear.
With that experience in the locker she has the potential for significant improvement now tackling this Grade 2 O'Driscoll's Irish Whiskey Juvenile Hurdle where the slightly better surface should be in her favour.

16:25 Plumpton - Sea Invasion @ 9/2
The Sussex National takes centre stage at Plumpton ahead of the main dish at Fairyhouse and Anthony Honeyball's SEA INVASION is a dual course winner over fences and boasts figures of 1211 from four visits here.
His two victories last season were gained over an extended three-miles-and-one-furlong and on the evidence of those successes, he looks worth trying at this marathon test back here.
He's on a fair mark, rated just 2lb higher than for his most recent win, while the eight-year-old has Sam Twiston-Davies for company, the rider attempting to get his second National in a month after landing the Midlands showpiece at Uttoxeter.
Good ground suits and if he's on a going day, as he usually is here, Sea Invasion looks a strong contender.

17:00 Fairyhouse - Shecouldbeanything @ 28/1
SHECOULDBEANYTHING ran well for a long way in last year's Irish National under Jordan Gainford and it is interesting that Jack Kennedy has plumped for her out of the six-strong Gordon Elliott brigade challenging for this €275,000 pot.
The mare is rated 1lb lower this time around. She was third in the Galway Plate last summer and recovered from a rare off day in the Kerry National to be second behind subsequent Cheltenham Festival winner Dinoblue over 2m6f here on New Year's Day.
Her only run since saw her finishing third in the Thyestes at Gowran Park in late January and this has presumably been the big target since.
With Betfred paying SIX PLACES in the Irish Grand National, the Cullentra-trained made is a solid each-way contender in a race her trainer would dearly love to land as he pursues a first Irish trainers' title with Willie Mullins breathing down his neck.
