Saturday Racing Tips: Owen’s best bets includes 25/1 Coral Gold Cup fancy

It's another big Saturday, featuring the return of Constitution Hill in the Fighting Fifth at Newcastle and the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury. It's also the start of the Winter Festival at Fairyhouse - and there's racing from Bangor, Doncaster and Wolverhampton too.
My Saturday racing tips includes one at a bit of a price in the big handicap, alongside another three selections.

11:42 Newcastle - Le Beau Madrik @ 10/11
My Nap of the Day is LE BEAU MADRIK in the opener at Newcastle.
It's a big day for the Skeltons, who pitch their unbeaten Cheltenham Festival winner The New Lion against Constitution Hill and Anzadam in the Fighting Fifth, and this four-year-old son of Beaumec De Houelle can set the tone.
He was green as grass on debut in a bumper at Plumpton back in April, but still managed to give a good account of himself, finishing a length behind an odds-on shot for Willie Mullins, no less. The pair were over seven lengths clear of the rest.
On reappearance at Cheltenham's Showcase Meeting last month, he was sent off favourite for another bumper and once again finished second best, behind a Fergal O'Brien inmate who did the form no harm back over course and distance a couple of weeks ago.
The selection goes hurdling now, and this looks an outstanding opportunity to get off the mark at the first time of asking. He's clearly talented, match fit and meets relatively modest opposition. If it wasn't for The New Lion, he would no doubt have been tried elsewhere, in more testing company.
I fancy this one strongly.

11:55 Newbury - Kingston Queen @ 7/4
Less than 15 minutes later, the action at Newbury gets underway with a Listed mares' novices' hurdle that can go to KINGSTON QUEEN for David Pipe.
The five-year-old is closely matched with market rivals La Conquiere and Charisma Cat on bumper form, but she looked a cut above on her hurdling debut at Chepstow earlier this month.
She beat Joe Tizzard's Kripticjim, who subsequently downed a 126-rated rival with minimum fuss in a Class 3 at Ascot, by seven lengths in Wales. That sets the standard in this field of eight.
I don't envisage the drop back to two miles being a problem, especially on forecast slower ground. I can see her setting off in front and proving hard to catch under Jack Tudor.

13:12 Bangor - Jour d'Evasion @ 2/1
Mambonumberfive obliged for Nap of the Day backers on Friday and, in turn, advertised the claims of JOUR D'EVASION at Bangor on Saturday.
Henry Daly's six-year-old son of Cokoriko was just under 10 lengths adrift of the aforementioned Ben Pauling inmate, who was evidently a long way ahead of his mark, on chasing debut at Aintree earlier this month.
The runner-up Highlands Legacy could be progressive too, while the third-placed Glengouly fared well in a competitive handicap at Cheltenham's November meeting off two pounds higher. He would have finished even closer but for a mistake at the last fence, too.
Generously, the handicapper has dropped Jour d'Evasion a couple of pounds for his exploits on Merseyside. With improvement, which he is more than entitled to, he is very, very dangerous in this company.
Also, Sam Twiston-Davies maintains the partnership. Given the calibre of jockeys at Newcastle and Newbury instead, that's a big advantage.

14:55 Newbury - O'Moore Park each-way @ 22/1
He's still a maiden over fences, but O'MOORE PARK is my fancy for the Coral Gold Cup.
Willie Mullins' eight-year-old is winless in seven starts over the bigger obstacles, but he's ran very well in defeat - most notably when third behind Caldwell Potter in the novices' handicap at the Cheltenham Festival in March.
I think connections will have been delighted with his reappearance in a 2m6½f beginners' chase at Galway last month. He was a big drifter not long before the off, and it was the well-backed Oscars Brother who obliged. He's since claimed Grade 2 honours at Punchestown.
That ought to have put O'Moore Park spot on for this, which has been his target for a while now. He'll be fine on the ground - although I wouldn't want it to get heavy - and his mark of 141 is very fair on what he's achieved to date.
He looks a great each-way play in this this Extra Place Race, with five available.
