Prince of Wales’s Stakes 2025 Tips: Those famous silks can land another Group 1 on Wednesday

A high-quality G1 10f contest, for older horses (4 yr-old+), won in the past by the likes of Azamour, Fantastic Light, Dubai Millennium, Bosra Sham and an old favourite of mine Gunner B, trained by the peerless Sir Henry Cecil.
It's a fabulous renewal, and it should be an absolute thriller.

24 days ago, at the Curragh, Los Angeles beat Anmaat by half a length in the G1 Tattersalls Gold Cup. It was the Shadwell raider's seasonal reappearance run, while a few weeks earlier at the same venue Los Angeles had taken a G2.
I'm therefore very hopeful that Anmaat, trained by Owen Burrows and ridden by Jim Crowley, can make the appropriate improvement that will enable the seven-year-old gelding to take down a third G1 contest.
Great credit to connections needless to say to have the old boy operating at this level but he's 'only' run 16 times and has had some chunky breaks from the action along the way. A win here would be extra special for his trainer, the gallant Anmaat of course, relative veteran Crowley, and of course Shadwell.
He's got the class, the back catalogue form-wise, and he's gone eyeball-to-eyeball with the likely favourite Los Angeles. Map Of Stars is in a rich vein of form and could mount a very powerful challenge for France, and it's by far the most likely conclusion to come to that the winner will come from among these three.,
I hope it's won by the horse carrying the colours of Nashwan, Baaeed, Dayjur, and a host of wonderful Shadwell Estates/Sheik Hamdan champions down the years.
