Nottingham Tips: Dare to Dream on Thursday

There are five race meetings taking place on Thursday across the UK and Ireland, with the third day of the Glorious G taking precedence. But with that already covered on Betfred Insights, I take a look at the action taking place at Nottingham.
Below you will find my Nottingham Tips for Thursday, July 31.

- 16:05 Nottingham - Dream Pirate @ 3/1
- 16:40 Nottingham - Regally Blonde @ 9/4
- 17:15 Nottingham - Sea Of Charm @ 4/1

16:05 Nottingham - Dream Pirate @ 3/1
There are 10 runners declared for this Class 5 handicap over 1m 1/2f and there are a few notable contenders involved. I fancy the chances of DREAM PIRATE for Terry Kent's yard.
The five-year-old has three victories to his name so far, one being over C&D in October 2024. Each of them were won on soft ground but conditions are looking towards good on Thursday, which could play a part.
He has shown his competitiveness on such ground, though, with a second-place finish on his last appearance here at the beginning of June. Dream Pirate has placed on all three visits to Nottingham and recent form suggests he could be set for another strong showing on Thursday.

16:40 Nottingham - Regally Blonde @ 9/4
I've been impressed with REGALLY BLONDE's last two performances, with her latest being a C&D victory earlier in the month, as she held off Elemental Eye by a neck. The two were five lengths clear at the front and and if in similar form she will take some stopping on Thursday.
The six-year-old is making a swift return to NG2 hoping to land back-to-back successes for the first time in her career. There are six rivals to contend with in this Class 6 handicap over 1m 6f but this mare looks in the best shape of the declared runners.
The outing that preceded her recent triumph here was a close second at Leicester (1m 4f) as she lost out to Khangai by a head. Trainer Ben Case will be hoping for a follow up success on familiar territory and based on current form, he should be feeling confident.

17:15 Nottingham - Sea Of Charm @ 4/1
Thursday's card concludes with this Class 5 handicap over 1m 2f and there are 10 horses declared for this contest. SEA OF CHARM might be of value here given her recent form, in which she has placed in five of her past six starts.
The seven-year-old mare made her turf breakthrough at Brighton in May over 1m 4f and followed it up with a respectable second-place finish at the same track over Thursday's distance later that month.
Her last outing was a solid third at Leicester, stepping back up to 1m 4f, so she is looking in good condition ahead of her first visit to Nottingham in 11 months. It was an impressive second-place finish over C&D that day, when she was ridden by William Dunlop, who is going to be on board on Thursday for this race for jockeys who haven't ridden more than three winners.
