PRAIRIE GIRL seeks to continue her recent progress for trainer Daniel Murphy at Dundalk.
The Mehmas filly boasts figures of 41211 since joining this team, all over the minimum five-furlong distance at Dundalk.
She has won both races in 2026 so far and done so in commanding style. Seamie Heffernan was on board last time, but Patrick McGettigan returns in the saddle now and the talented youngster can claim a very handy 7lb as his partner attempts to defy a new mark of 86.
That's 9lb higher than for her win here earlier in the month, but McGettigan accounts for the largest chunk of that.
More is demanded but she's very much on the up and looks capable of rating higher still.
Top-weight Sir Les Patterson looks a danger on paper having won here in November in a similar C&D contest by four-lengths, but the gelding has a career-high mark of 99 to manage now, up 9lb for that win 86 days ago.
Collective Power also scored here over 6f when last spotted and is effective over this trip. That form reads well, the runner-up winning her next two starts, though both came over 7f.
Prairie Girl is an improving 4YO getting lots of weight from Sir Les Patterson. Her pedigree suggests this extra furlong will be well within reach and her rate of improvement in recent starts make her hard to resist.
