Nap of the Day: Ffamily affair at Ffos Las on Tuesday

Brilliant week has just ended - lots of ups and downs, winners and losers, terrific fun. Let's hope this week is half as good.
For my personal first nap of the week on Tuesday I'm heading to Ffos Las, and a very modest contest indeed. Still, you know what they say - little fish taste as sweet ...
Nap Of The Day - Tuesday, August 5
- 15:15 Ffos Las - Moonlight Bomb @ 5/1
15:15 Ffos Las - Moonlight Bomb @ 5/1
After the majesty of Goodwood - notwithstanding the odd monsoon - it's back to earth with a bang on Tuesday, for our Nap Of The Day comes in a 7.5f Class 6 handicap at Ffos Las boasting a barely £3.5k purse to the winner.
Good old early/midweek fare - super-competitive, and as keenly fought as any of the Group heats or warm handicaps last week on the Downs - just by slightly less exalted animals.
I'm heading in the direction of Jamie Osborne's three-year-old gelding Moonlight Bomb, by Sea The Moon, which will be ridden by his gifted daughter Saffie.
The selection is having just race number six all told, and at Kempton last time produced a running-on career-best. Kempton is a speed track where they really wind it up in the home straight and to be competitive there (third beaten 3l) was a very decent effort indeed.
Midnight Bomb has been dropped a pound by the kindly assessor despite what I saw as a fine outcome and this maiden can shed that tag on Tuesday afternoon at what's at time of writing at least, very much an attractive price in my view.
The advertised going is good, which will hopefully suit admirably, and they won't be going quite as fast in the latter stages as they habitually do on Kempton's Polytrack surface.
Odds correct at time of publishing.
