Lucky 15 Tips: Rejjien to make Bath breakthrough

There are five Monday meetings across Britain and Ireland on a busy start to the racing week.

Afternoon action comes from Bath, Pontefract and Gowran Park on the flat, as well as over jumps at Plumpton, while the evening fare on the all-weather is at Wolverhampton. Below are my Lucky 15 selections for Monday's racing action.

14:10 Plumpton – Kajikia @ 8/15

Paul Nicholls and Harry Cobden can begin the day with a winner at Plumpton as last month's easy maiden hurdle winner KAJIKIA drops back in trip for the Betty Chantler And Trevor Downing Novices' Hurdle over two miles.

She carries the familiar Big Buck's silks and was long odds-on to win over 2m4½f on good ground in that hurdling debut and, despite running a bit green at times, she did so in ready fashion.

She carries a 7lb penalty into this race but looks to have lots of scope for progress and should double her tally.

14:19 Gowran Park – Just Jump @ 20/1

Denis Hogan has some interesting runners on the card at Gowran Park and JUST JUMP rates a good chance in the Dine At Gowran Park Handicap over 7f.

The Kodi Bear gelding won a claiming maiden at Bellewstown (1m, soft) at the start of this month and is on a fair mark of 65 back in a handicap now.

He was held in one run since on the Polytrack at Dundalk but could have more to offer on turf with some give underfoot. He's not exposed at this sort of trip and 7f here on soft ground should be enough of a test for Luke McAteer's mount.

14:25 Bath – Rejjien @ 9/4

A mile is a trip for this nursery and it could be the day things click for REJJIEN. David Loughnane's filly has put up a sequence of good efforts and should get a win over the line before long.

She was second twice at Chepstow over 7f/1m before also gaining a silver medal over C&D (soft) in September when beaten only a neck in first-time cheekpieces after pulling clear with the winner.

She was only fourth since at Redcar (1m, good to soft) but ran on well after getting outpaced and was within a length gaining at the line.

Rossa Ryan returns in the saddle now and this filly looks ready to get on the scoresheet.

15:03 Pontefract – Shayem @ 4/7

The British Stallion Studs EBF Silver Tankard Stakes is a Listed contest and the feature at Pontefract on Monday.

It's a small field with just five runners but there are some good prospects and perhaps SHAYEM is the best of them right now for Karl Burke.

The King Of Change colt is 2-3 in his career, most recently winning the Betfred Derby 'Wild Card' EBF Conditions Stakes at Epsom last month over this sort of trip.

He was really strong in the finish and looks to have more progress in him, he's fancied to take some beating under Clifford Lee.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
