Lucky 15 Tips: Lord can rule at Yarmouth on Monday

There’s plenty happening on Monday as we have five competitive meetings to look forward to across the day. Ireland offers up one fixture on the Flat, whilst Britain’s four cards provide Flat turf, National Hunt and all-weather entertainment.

Musselburgh, Yarmouth and Roscommon are giving us some competitive turf action, whilst Hereford is hosting an intriguing Jumps card. Kempton’s nine-race all-weather meeting takes us through the evening, so there is a little of something for everyone.

We’ve picked out four strong fancies with massive chances on Monday and they can be combined to form a Lucky 15.

13:52 Musselburgh – Triple Force @ 11/8

Craig Lidster’s tough and consistent four-year-old TRIPLE FORCE had finished second in three consecutive starts but managed to put that right when earning a deserved victory at Newmarket last time out.

Amateur rider Eireann Cagney, who retains the ride here, was on board that day and the pair successfully made all the running. Similar tactics could pay dividends once again and the intermediate trip clearly suits this son of Land Force.

The handicapper has responded with a 3lb rise, which shouldn’t be too difficult to shoulder, as this is probably an easier race.

14:30 Yarmouth – Lord Harcourt @ 11/4

LORD HARCOURT struggled a little on debut at Nottingham and finished down the field that day but there were some much more positive signs when a respectable fourth at Thirsk after that. No fewer than five subsequent winners have come out of that race so the form is solid.

He stepped forward again to finish second in a Newcastle novice last time out and the switch to handicaps could make a massive difference. Allotted an opening handicap mark of 73, it would be no surprise if that proves to be a little generous.

His profile suggests he’s likely to improve again and the son of Havana Grey should be winning races sooner rather than later.

15:22 Musselburgh – Spooky Wooky @ 3/1

Simon West’s SPOOKY WOOKY has only had four starts to date and showed very little in three runs in maiden and novice company. Connections decided to make the switch to handicaps on his most recent start, and that has made a massive difference.

He went markedly up in trip for his first start in this sphere and that definitely suited, as he went on to finish second at Ayr. Andrew Elliott attempted to make most of the running and he rallied after getting caught at the two-furlong pole.

The three-year-old definitely shaped as if an extra furlong would suit so there are plenty of reasons to be positive now. You would imagine there’s more to come in handicap company and victory could be on the cards.

15:52 Musselburgh – Lexington Belle @ 7/2

Newmarket trainer Alice Haynes is 0/9 at Musselburgh so far this season but LEXINGTON BELLE looks well set to rectify that. She looks very well treated on her best form and a return to winning ways is anticipated soon.

Haynes’ four-year-old ran a cracker to finish fourth in a similar race at Haydock when last seen and this event looks slightly weaker. The handicapper has dropped her another pound since and a similar effort should therefore give her every chance.

This daughter of Belardo actually won off 85 at Newbury last year so she should be capable of winning now rated 1lb lower.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
