Lucky 15 Tips: Angel to descend on Kempton

It's Bonfire Night on Wednesday and I think there is going to be plenty of room for some fireworks when it comes to the day's horse racing action. There are five meetings taking place across the UK and Ireland, so once again I am spoiled for choice when it comes to picking my latest Lucky 15 Tips.

14:30 Chepstow - Sober Glory @ 11/10

Starting in Chepstow with this Class 4 maiden hurdle over 2m. There is a stacked field of 13 runners declared for this one and there are a few who look appealing. But the one who stands out the most for me is SOBER GLORY for trainers Philip Hobb and Johnson White.

The five-year-old gelding is making his reappearance after his last outing in February. He has enjoyed a perfect start to his career with four victories, including one at this racecourse in October of last year.

He has already claimed three successes over this distance so he could be set for a promising hurdle debut. Of course this will be a test for him, but he has passed every test so far with flying colours and I really fancy his chances here.

15:10 Nottingham - Valkyrja @ 13/2

It's an even bigger field (15) in this Class 5 handicap over 1m1/2f at Nottingham and again there are a couple of horses to consider. VALKYRJA is the one who has caught my eye, running for Matt Crawley's yard.

The four-year-old filly has really hit some decent form in her past three outings with a form of 212 - which came at Kempton, Yarmouth and Bath respectively. All of them were over 1m, so she won't look out of place here on Wednesday.

It seems her form has been impacted by fitted cheekpieces, which she will once again don at Nottingham.

16:03 Musselburgh - Aighear @ 2/1

AIGHEAR is another horse who has been in decent form of late. She contests this Class 6 handicap over 2m at Musselburgh hoping to remain on an upward curve. The seven-year-old mare recently won successive races at Ayr (1m7f and 1m5f) before placing second on her latest appearance at Newbury on October 24, which came over Wednesday's trip.

The Jim Goldie-trained mare is in her career-best form and connections should be feeling confident about her chances at Musselburgh.

17:30 Kempton - Coul Angel @ 3/1

Kempton is where I round off my selections, and hopefully in style. There are six runners declared for this Class 2 handicap over 6f and the leading contender is COUL ANGEL for Michael Appleby's yard.

The three-year-old gelding claimed a C&D triumph here on his last appearance on October 29 and this progressive sprinter could be in line for further improvements on Wednesday.

There is a 6lb penalty to consider on this occasion, particularly against some tough opposition, but he is in good form at the moment with two wins in his past three outings and it doesn't look like he has hit his ceiling yet.

This is an example of a Lucky 15. If you can improve upon my selections (of course you can), then go for it!
