Lucky 15 Tips: Ryan Moore is back – Lingfield, Wednesday!

Wednesday assumes greater significance than perhaps would be the norm this week as it's the day that marks the return of the brilliant Ryan Moore, after an extended period out with a stress fracture to his right femur.
He's been absent since early August but has five booked rides at Lingfield on their NINE-race card that kicks in at 11:30. Ideal Lucky 15 tips material then, and it's a very short price that our selections will include one or more of those to be ridden by the three-time champion.
Lucky 15 Tips - Wednesday, December 3
Lingfield
- 11:30 - Sovereign Wealth @ 7/4
- 13:30 - Evening Fades @ 2/1
- 14:00 - Morrophore @ 9/4
- 14:30 - Diamondonthehill @ 5/1
*Odds correct as of the time of publication
11:30 - Sovereign Wealth @ 7/4
Ryan could have a field day on his return to the saddle and has a bright chance in the opener aboard George Boughey's two-year-old Frankel colt Sovereign Wealth.
This will be the horse's third nursery, and is perhaps a bit unlucky not to have had a little bit of respite from the handicapper. Off 75 at Chelmsford a week ago he was beaten 4.75l at this 7f trip, but after travelling in rear ran on to decent effect late on.
The assessor keeps him on 75 for this assignment and in this small field it's to be hoped that he won't get so far adrift. The selection should be getting the hang of this racing game by now and his powerful yard are always to be feared.
13:30 - Evening Fades @ 2/1
RL Moore once again has the riding duties, this time for another powerhouse yard - that of William Haggas at HQ.
Evening Fades is an unraced two-year-old Ulysses filly, related to several winners. There's precious little to go on elsewhere by way of form and it's not hard to see this going the way of a well-bred youngster making her debut (she's out of an Inchinor mare, too).
Top stable, Ryan engaged; that'll do for me.
14:00 - Morrophore @ 9/4
Team Gosden now - and another potential winner-provider for the former champion.
Ryan rides the four-year-old Kingman filly Morrophore who has recorded two career wins from six starts. This 10f Class 2 handicap boasts a decent first prize of £23k, and it has a fairly open look to it.
The selection last ran 60 days ago at Newmarket and despite starting favourite dwelt at the gate and only got marginally competitive when it was all too late. That was her seasonal reappearance though and she could strip a good deal fitter this afternoon.
She's potentially pretty smart, rated 98, and is giving weight to all her rivals today. Cracking Winter Oaks trial, and our selection runs in the legendary white with green hoop silks of owner George Strawbridge.
14:30 - Diamondonthehill @ 5/1
We're deserting Ryan Moore now in favour of Arc-winner Luke Morris, and a vastly-experienced seven-year-old gelding by G1-winner Al Kazeem.
Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole train Diamondonthehill in Worcestershire, and this noble warrior has six wins from 50 career starts. He's held his form very well, and lines up this afternoon off a mark of 83 - same as in June 2023, and not a million miles from a brief career-high of 90 in August 2024.
Last time nine days ago at Wolverhampton in a similar but slightly lower-grade contest he went down by less than a length, achieving a smart Racing Post rating figure into the bargain.
He's a course-and-distance scorer, and has a handy draw in the three box.
If all four of our selections won, today's notional 50p win Lucky 15, at the prices indicated (they can of course fluctuate), would return around £220 for a £7.50 total stake.
