14:50 Ffos Las – Boston Joe @ 2/1

Getting back over fences should suit BOSTON JOE, who caught the eye with a bold show over hurdles on his seasonal return at this track last month.

With the tongue-tie and cheekpieces worn on his previous start left off, the nine-year-old rallied well under pressure to finish third despite not being tidy at the final flight.

That should have teed him up nicely for the return to fences, a discipline in which he is a five-time winner, and a 1lb drop for last time leaves him below his last winning mark.

He bolted up by 20 lengths off a 1lb higher mark on his most recent start over course and distance last October, and, with the tongue-tie that he has worn for four of his five wins returning, he can land a fourth win at this track.

15:02 Naas – Inthepocket @ 6/4

The Barberstown Castle Chase has attracted a high-quality field, with two Grade 1 winners and two Grade 2 scorers among the five-strong line-up.

Henry de Bromhead has his string in fine form, with five winners from 15 runners this month, and it’s likely that he will have primed INTHEPOCKET, who hasn’t been seen since disappointing behind the reopposing Ile Atlantique in the Racing Post Novice Chase over course and distance in January.

That effort leaves him with plenty to find, but it’s likely that he had an issue, given his absence since, and he had looked an exciting chasing prospect when bolting up by 15 lengths in a beginners’ event at Wexford in his previous start.

He was a Grade 1 hurdle winner as a novice and looks capable of taking this en route to reaching those same heights over fences

15:15 Sandown – Courtland @ 13/8

The likelihood of quick ground makes COURTLAND the standout pick in the veterans’ chase at Sandown.

The 10-year-old unseated his rider in the competitive Sodexo Gold Cup at Ascot last time, but he had previously run well to finish second behind the well-treated Hang In There in a veterans’ event at Chepstow last month.

That run can be marked up, given he raced much closer to a good pace than the winner, and the form has been boosted since through wins for the third and fourth.

He looks well treated off the same mark and can put his race fitness to good use against rivals who are making their seasonal returns.

15:25 Ffos Las – Bells Of Ufford @ 3/1

The booking of Sean Bowen catches the eye on BELLS OF UFFORD, who shaped like he would benefit from stepping up in trip when a staying-on fourth in a 2m handicap hurdle at Uttoxeter last month.

The application of first-time cheekpieces seemed to help, and saw him record a Racing Post Rating just 1lb shy of his career-best, which he achieved when chasing home a well-backed rival in a 2m3½f handicap hurdle at Chepstow in April.

He’s entitled to a strip fitter for his reappearance run and could also benefit from an easier surface.

Odds are likely to fluctuate between time of publication and the races. As a guide, a £0.50p win Lucky 15 on today's selections, at the prices, and assuming all four won, would return around £XX for your total £7.50 stake.
